@surambaya I was going to say the same thing 'that maybe he does not need to go to school'. There are so many who have gone to school but cant even run a 'kiosk'. He has done what is taught in entrepreneurship 101, if you dont have the skill, hire it. So encouraged by him... bless him!

And he has now been nominated for the Global education supplies solutions award.(GESS)He is the only nominee in Africa.He is in today's Standard news paper. Today we had a parents workshop and he briefly addressed us.He says he opened the school to fight a system that has teachers who beat and insult pupils who perform poorly.having been a poor performer and repeating classes several times,this motivated him more to venture into education.when he opened the Kileleshwa school he told the teachers never to ever disclose his identity coz he couldn't speak English and obviously no parent would entrust his/her kid with them after listening to his broken English.even today he said he is still struggling to improve his English but he is determined. Lastly he told us he fires his teachers on spot once he hears you insulting or discouraging the students who perform poorly.his schooling experience must have really had an effect on him.

@MildredMbogo - The kind of business acumen he has doesn't get taught in too many schools out there. Besides, didn't the likes of Richard Branson and Andrew Carnegie drop out of school, not to mention other Kenyan mega-businessmen? Gideon just has a heavy accent and some verbal errors here and there in much the same way as a Russian or a Frenchman would, which is not really a measure of his intelligence. Just saying.....
