Wow, great projects, a '74 Dodge Monaco is the car to have, b'cause the iconic Bluesmobile from the Blues Brothers, can't wait to see when done!!! Mopar or no car

Cool. That grill and the headlight covers took me back to 75 when my folks got a Royal Brougham. It had the metal flake midnight blue with a white vinyl top. I've seen a 74 Monacos on KZbin and elsewhere since but not one just like it. White ought to be good for another bluesmobile. Good luck with jt!

Good Morning from Bavaria (germany) :) I´ve found your channel and i´m so excited about to see all these forgotten classic cars what are you diggin out :) I LOVE JUNK YARDS & PLACES LIKE THAT FULL WITH US CLASSIC CARS... But i´ve one so big problem; Because i live at Bavaria, were nothing is left, especially not to find junk yards or something else like that with us classic cars what is for sure. That´s sad for me, and so it´s a lot more nice to can see some videos like yours of places and cars like this. And i´ve commented a Video od you were you was walking arround 2 Plymouth Satellite 4 Door Sedans, think 72-75s or so..a kind of car what i´m looking for, but because i´be a big heart for the 4 Door Models this Video is also so interesting for me..especially because the Dodge Monaco was also a Car that i like to have one to restore it... But i think you´re not selling one of these??? (What is the brown one 4 door hardtop in the right behinde the Monaco when the Video begin???) Look, because i´m fro bavaria i´ve not that option to get a spare front fender from an junk yard or something like a parts car. and so i´ve learned really to restore, to rebuild sheet metal by my own hands at my present project, what´s also a Movie Car project. Or even it was when i´ve bought it and now i´m not sure how much things i´ll choose from the movie cat to my project. Because it´s a 67 Chevy Caprice/Impala 4 Door Hardtop. A dream of me, because i love especially the fullsize 4 door hardtops bodystyle...but a lot better when it´s the 67 Chevy Caprice/Impala as a 4 Dr Hardtop, because i love these roof lines and yes, i know how it is when you have a spleen for one special kind of car, too ;) But my one i´ve bought from Ohio and so the wheel arches was rusty and even like i´ve told that it´s not easy for me to get used body spare parts, i learned at this project to rebuild the whole wheel arch sections of the front fenders, and also the whole lower windshield frame. Sections of the rear window was also to rebuild and now i´m at the weatherstrip channel of the trunklid. So i´ts not done completely yet, i´m still working on it. But i´m proud about, that i can rebuild / shape sheet metal with my hands, a hammer, a grinder and a little time :) Because i was working especially on engines before.....In your Videos of the Rust Ranch i saw so many nice cars, what are really worth to safe and restore, especially the both rare Chrysler Valiant´s or how they called...? These 2 4 Door Hardtops, what has an really nice roof line and styling i think... But also the 67 Oldsmobile 4 Dr Hardtop in white color... Do you know how much your friend like for cars like these? But the 67 Chevy Caprice/Impala 4 Door Hardtop was, or even is used for the tv show Supernatural. And i became contact to the Car coordinator for the tv show and talked about the making of the show with the cars, and that they had 7, i think they´re using more than 7 cars still in the moment... I´ve that one and i´m not sure now, how many things i´ll use from the tv cars, or build a little more the own thing. that´s even a little thing about choose the right way i think.... But because i´ve got an caprice trim car, i should become an impala trim. In the ty show the´ve used Caprice trim cars because they´ve the better options, and are more often the 4 door hardtop and used only the interior and trim mouldings from the impala at these 67 caprice´s fpr the show, or even at the set. I´m starting also with an caprice, it also has the 327 4bbl 275 Turbofire SB and the TH400 Tranny like the show used cars. So i often think that i should use more things from the movie car...like the black paint, or even that i bekome the front and rear bumperguards or the impala interior trim and trim door mouldings, too.....But hey, not sure yet! ;) At first i´m at the body, to become back a perfect condition body. What´s a lot of difficult wort, what i´ve never thought that i can do that sheet metal shaping/forming by myself. Glad that i learned it with that. Because now a lot more cars what are called "part cars" are an option for me to rebuild and restore i think :) Best wishes and greetings from Bavaria & me, thank you for do this nice job of diggin out and safing the classics, thats amazing! I wish i could do the same! Cheers Till

Thanks so much for stopping by the channel! I have three 1967 Chevrolet four doors; a Bel Air, Impala, and Caprice. I am very familiar with those areas of rust. I admire your dedication to bring your dead car back to life!! My 1973 Coronet and 1978 Fury are on the rough side but could possibly be restored. Look for more on them in a future video. as always, I can be reached at mrgoodpliers1985@gmail.com for more information.

Just curious, how much did the wagon cost? I've never seen a Monaco wagon
@LITTLE19943 жыл бұрын
Those must be regular models. But leave them original. The 1974 is very hard to find. They didn't make many numbers of that particular year.

That's a 1975 Monaco 74 they never had cats on it 1975 was the first year for the catalytic converter and that being a 9-74 build date would make that a 1975 because Sept they started building the next year production it's a early 1975 Monaco and 1975 was the first year for the Royal Monaco it was the Monaco custom in 1974 and changed to Royal Monaco in 75. It's a cool car though they are getting had to come by and finding the certified cop speedo for those cars are really hard to come by

Looks like a good start. Could have made an early Dukes of Hazzard police car too. Are you going to put the Royal front end on the wagon? I'd love to have that wagon, what a beast.

Why do you have to destroy these cars?
@mr.goodpliers69884 жыл бұрын
Not exactly certain what you mean by that... Every one of these cars was a rusty old clunker bought from a demo derby guy on derby pages. In this condition you'd be lucky to find any collector to give $2k for one, and it would probably end up as a parts car, eventually crushed or derbied anyway... as a Bluesmobile it's a $10k to 12k car
@mr.goodpliers69884 жыл бұрын
I love full size Malaise Era cars, but it's not the hottest collector car segment. So many got parked in the gas crisis years, so there are always nice garaged examples around in the $4k to $8k range. $10k can get you something perfect. To do the rust repair, quality repaint, and other restoration on one of these, you'd be into it for purely emotional reasons, versus buying a nice survivor.
