Thank you. I definitely change things up during the year because I can't just look at horror things all the time. I'm pretty sure I did shot this video not long after Halloween so it was definitely in full horror mode. During the spring and summer, I do go with a more lighter feeling theme. I swap out the posters, change the displays, move the masks around, etc. It's still there just less "in your face" if you will. Thanks so much for watching and good luck with your room. 😀👋👋

Love ur collection. I’d love to own as many movies as you do. Whoever thinks physical media is going to die someday...I say NEVER! I’d love to go nuts on a Black Friday and fill multiple shopping carts full of blu rays but haven’t had the chance to yet. Looks like a really comfy room. Congrats. Don’t rule out the projector and screen. U can get a great picture/screen size for $1200 or less screen included. The only audio critique I’d give is the center channel being up so high and not pointing down toward the listening position. If it sounds good to u that’s all that matters. Nice room!

Bateman61405 thanks!! About the center channel- agree. I've heard that someone actually makes an angled piece of solid foam that can slide under it and help direct the sound down. GodofGaming454 hi and welcome!! I'm a big fan of, Turi (TMoney) he's got one heck of a collection. As for the mask- I'd heard others talk about how it looked best hanging off the wall so I figured I'd give it a go. The issue is supporting the bottom because it's really kind of soft and didn't hold the shape well. I got a bracket from Home Depot that kind of looks like right triangle. Obviously, the flat part goes against the wall and the longer part of the angle is at the top. I put the mask over the bracket but then you need to fill it a little with bubble wrap or soft towels. Just fill it until it sits the way you like it. I hope this helps you some and you'll love the mask. It's definitely much better looking hanging off a wall. Undying Dream hello and welcome!! So happy you found the channel and always great to meet a fellow collector. I guess the main thing with collecting physical media is space. I've definitely learned to hard way to limit blind buys and only make purchases based on solid recommendations. I also try to keep my collection to items I know I'll want to watch again- I avoid having items on my shelves just because someone else feels it's a "must have title." Make you collection about you and whatever you love and you'll enjoy it for a very long time. I also make use of sale times: Criterion, Scream Factory, Arrow Video, etc. It's helpful to keep an eye out for when those happen. If I know of an upcoming sale, I share it on the channel and Instagram. I know others do the same. Sites like Hamilton Book is also great for collectors. Great titles, brand new at discount prices. That's why I have certain collections all in one case. It's not perfect and I do forget things here and there but it seems to work best for me. @@MovieChatter01 I was reading the comments and I would like to share what I do to keep track of movies. I have an app on my phone that's called my movies pro. It's a really good app for a couple of dollars. It's real easy to use too. You either can type the name of the movie in or just scan the barcode. Then you can put a tag on each shelf a through z and then a number of what disk it is on that shelf. On the app itself you can make a note saying where dvd is. They do have a free version of app but u can only do like 50 movies. I would definitely give it a shot especially since you have a mini blockbuster down your basement.

Oh I wish I knew. I got them in 2011 when we finished off the basement/theater room. They're nothing fancy--just recliners with cup holders. No electric or anything. That's my next purchase on the wish list. 😀 I'm not home right now but when I am, I'll look under them and see if there's a name/brand. Great video, Stephanie! I really enjoyed the tour. I grew up in the late 1970s and early 1980s so I can totally relate to keeping a few treasured VHS tapes. ALIEN (1979) is my all time favorite movie and I’ve kept every format since my first VHS copy to my Blu-ray Alien Anthology set. One thing I didn’t see is any movie or film books. Do you like books about the making of movies or about filmmakers? I’m just curious. Thanks again for another interesting video.

I actually keep them upstairs because my vision is terrible, and because it's a room designed for watching movies, the lighting is pretty dim and not conducive to reading. I mostly read books about Eastern philosophy our collections of short stories like, Augusten Burroughs or David Sedaris. Not so much film related. Great video Stephanie! Love the room. Just a suggestion but what you can try is take your 2 klipsch atmos speakers and place them on each sides of your seating slightly higher then ear level. Then use your in ceiling speakers where they are but name them top middle. You will like atmos so much better. It really does sound like something is flying over head or when it rains it coming down on you. You would definitely appreciate the difference. Another thing that I liked what you said about the 2 subs you definitely benifit from 2 for equalling the bass out from seat to seat. 1 more suggestion is auro bass shakers or buttkickers. They make a big difference in movies esp horror movies with jump scares. It's freaking awsome!

Decibal Destroyer thanks for the tips on speaker placement. So, let me understand- should I not keep the Atmos ones I was going to mount in the front? Just go with 2 sets in the back- one about ear level and the other as is? I know I definitely need more subs so thanks for the options. Amazing room with truly wonderful surprises. Not sure if you've looked into your centre speaker being Magnetically Shielded? They used you be years ago to protect CRT tv's. But most have the shield removed for cost. I mention this as your VHS collection could be erased being that close to the Magnet. It's worth moving them away from the speakers

Great room Stef! And your dad is one helluva craftsman! I like all your little stages for your fave items too. But damn, that's a LOT of those Funko Pops! LOL No offense, but I find those things creepy looking. They're all like Children Of The Damned or something? And I always like looking at other peoples movie memorabilia, but there's never anything I'd want to have or show off myself. Retro Force thank you. Funny you ask about that because I was wondering the same thing. 😂😂 The way I have them set now, it feels like it fills up the sound in the front, if that makes sense. As for things going over my head or height noise changes....🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️eh, not so much. I will have great background sound coming from the rear in ceiling speakers but nothing crazy. Maybe I'll find a difference with them mounted higher, I'm not sure. But I'll definitely post something or mention it in a video after the audio guy makes changes. Thanks so much for watching. 😀👍👋

@@MovieChatter01 Gotcha, I know for the most part 4K media has Atmos or DTS-X. Maybe you should take a look at the settings for the speaker configuration in the AV reciever. If it's not setup properly then you won't get Atmos or DTS X. I'm looking forward to the update video on your thoughts on the Atmos sound. Take care 👍

I have my records up there and I have a system I could hook it in to. Arrow titles-wow. There are so many good ones I love so I'd actually have to look at the titles to pick a favorite. I'd have to say that I love the House Boxset, The Crimson Peak Collector Edition, and the Killer Klowns release. Also recently, Alice Sweet Alice is a fantastic release.
