The problem isn't 1-sided. There's like 12 problems that are all combined together to create the mass-violence issues we see today. You've got kids who are unsupervised from like 8-18, no friends, not learning communication skills, parents who aren't around for whatever reason, and the kids are just stuck inside on the internet all day. They're learning life skills from forums, twitter, youtube, and tiktok while being told by right-wingers that they don't matter. And to go along with this, they live in a time where the ceiling of destruction keeps getting higher and higher. The more normalized things like Sew-uh-sides and mass-violence become, the more it will continue to happen because it's more frequently becoming an "option" for these people. And this is just the larger visible problems, not even getting into smaller details. TL;DR: it's a soup that's purely American because it starts with mental healthcare and parental care and sprinkled in is media violence.
