This is not how he got his name in the book. It was because Bob Marley came on the radio, but John and Jenny decided on the name together- they were arguing over names, and Jenny put the radio on and it was Bob Marley. But if I'm honest, I like the film version better.

I remember when i brought my yellow lab, Caesar, home the first day. Put him in a box to sleep at night and he made the same sounds as Marley did in this. So i took him to bed and to this day he can't sleep alone. He is 1.5 years old now and he just has to sleep beside me on the bed everyday now. No complaints though ❤️ i love my fur baby.
