I usually don’t like remakes but this was an exception. Wonderful movie. I love how they modernized and updated it without losing the feel of the original movie. Julia Ormond was radiant in it.

What is the original? Do you suggest this movie? First time I have watched this guy, it was the movie as good as it gets. He was a painter.

@ The original “Sabrina” was from 1954 and starred Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden.

I absolutely loved this movie in my 20s when it came out. My life was similar to Sabrina’s and there was a David. I watched the party dance scene a thousand times. 20 some odd years later I got a voicemail from Greg Kinnear through work, apologizing profusely that he’d missed my call. We had the work call and that was that, but my 25-year-old self was thinking, “Do you even KNOW how many times I watched that dance scene when I was young?” Amazing how life turns out.

I disagree. I thought it was a good remake. I love this actress so much I was going to make my daughter after her (I had a boy) I thought she was elegant enough for the role and if it had not been for the remake I would have never known this movie.
@roadwayrona3 ай бұрын
It's a different movie. I totally don't get why Julia Ormond got the role - she was cute but doesn't pull off this kind of character... Harrison Ford wasn't bad but I would never re-watch this remake. Too light, missing lots of nuances.

I disagree. I am an Audrey Hepburn fan, but I prefer this version. I saw the original in the 1990s as a teen and just thought old man Humphrey Bogart should not be paired with vivacious young Audrey Hepburn.

Probably a copyright conflict avoidance issue. KZbin is extraordinarily picky because they don't want to get sued, and many of the studios are insanely protective regarding all their movies.

@cambler85583 ай бұрын
Not true-David’s fiancée has long hair. Sabrina was using her long hair to hide and not to her advantage. Adopting the classic French gamin hairstyle symbolizes her transformation into a more self-assured and cosmopolitan woman.
