Theres a fan theory that the home movies that appear during the opening credits are actually events that occur after the shooting. Charlie and his girlfriend have a baby, Johnny Boy grows up and even cuts his hair, and its said that Charlies uncle orchestrates the whole thing as Michael is in those home movies too, i think hes even posing with Charlie and Johnny Boy. Just a theory.

This movie's a classic but I just can't get over that poor editing with the fire hydrant. I think it's safe to say that the previous 90 minutes redeems it. I still can't believe how many Goodfella and Casino fans haven't seen this. And it's hard to get people to watch this because it's just so old school. People don't know what they're missing.

In New York City, fire hydrants don't gush water when they're knocked down. They are "dry" hydrants that require opening an underground valve with a wrench. Otherwise the water inside would freeze in the winter.

@Harry_S._Plinkett4 жыл бұрын
@@psychokitty444 the music isn’t the problem. The way everything goes silent would work really well in tandem with the car crashing and the water spurting... all in one shot. These are small time operators. Not the least bit surprising they don’t have access to a machine gun. This is definitely a plausible way it might have been handled. Although I think even more plausible is that a few days later Johnny Boy would have been hit alone in an ally somewhere. After being confident and cocky for 48 hours or so...that he got away with disrespecting Michael..., then BLAM! right in the face. This would send a concise message to all.....that you (Michael) are not to be f’d with. The way it’s done here seems too rash and not worthy of admiration from the more legitimate gangsters in the neighborhood that you crave respect from.
