My parents showed my brother and I this movie when we were 7 & 8 yrs old. My Pop (Vet, cop, sheriff and corrections officer) acted so much like this man but a lot more violent. I'll never forget this movie and how it really portrays abuse and the love children want, seek from their parents, no matter how flawed they are. ❤ The casting was perfect

Same here. My father was a corrections officer. I remember thinking this is mere child’s play compared to the severe emotional and physical abuse I endured my entire life. He passed away when I was in my mid twenties from a major heart attack at the age of 54.

Funny to think, the way he is behaving after losing is the way his father would have treated him after beating him. He has learned this is how men behave even after being humiliated. All he can do is lash out and act like a toddler. His whole family think he is pathetic. Great stuff.

Bruno Kirby's Ed Furillo in "City Slickers." They were talking about their best day worst day. Always reminded me of this scene. Basically Ed stood up to his dad--best day. Parents should be happy if their kids performed better than them in a certain field for it means their kids have a good potential and that they were raised right. Parenthood is not a competition between parents and their kids. Don't lash out like an angry toddler, totally contradicting what you don't want your kids to be doing and suddenly say "Doesn't mean me as your parent does it, does not mean you should do it either" as an excuse when questioned by your own kids.

Aliezah Juarez And Jeremy is one of those pathetic people. He berates his twin brother, Trevor (the cheerful one) just because he is lost in a basketball game. Jeremy also has five other identical brothers (Kevin, Aiden, Conor, Lucas and Daniel) aside from Trevor, and that they are septuplets. He hurts and harassed his own brothers who loves him so much and did everything for him, out of hatred and jealousy. He is not only dumb but also selfish, ungrateful, greedy and spoiled brat, a total LOSER BRAT.

Aliezah Juarez Well, Jeremy is just a fictional protagonist-antagonist character i've created from the story Blood Brothers. He becomes rebellious and blacksheep because he discovers the shocking truth about his real identity; kept hidden by his brothers (who looks exactly like him) and the woman he believes was his real mother. That's why Jeremy hates his brothers so much.
