The Ghostbusters hunt a ghost backstage at a rock concert.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Two paranormal researchers (Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy) join forces with a nuclear engineer (Kate McKinnon) and a subway attendant (Leslie Jones) to fight off a slew of ghosts that have invaded New York City. Eventually, they come face-to-face with an evil entity who can control human beings. Chris Hemsworth co-stars as the ladies' hunky receptionist. Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) directed this reboot of the 1980s franchise; Ivan Reitman, director of both the original film and Ghostbusters II, produced.

bill bixby Really? People still hate this movie for no godamn reason? The original Ghosbusters were as ridicilous as this ones. Both are suppose to be COMEDIES, where your main characters can have unprofessional reactions to a friggin ghost in front of your face.

bill bixby They try to compensate because fans keeps bitching about every step this movie takes. Just because someone acts differently, it doesn't mean that they can't be as good as someone else who was previously in their place. Besides, in the originals, most of the team members knew each other for a long time by the beginning of the movie. Here you have a group consisting of two authors of a book about paranormal activities, a nuclear scientist and a subway worker who just met one another. Off course they won't know what to do, they come from three different careers. Only by the time of the ending they learn to make a good combination using each individual's skills.

bill bixby Yeeeaaahhh no. Melissa McCarthy sounded like a scientist. Kristen Wiig? Also. McKinnon? Ehhhh, okay, but that's because she's a MAD scientist, and Leslie Jones, again, played a subway worker. They were just more enthusiastic about their work than the previous Ghostbusters, and I don't think being more enthusiastic is a bad thing. In fact, it defines them as characters.

bill bixby Both Ghostbusters films are about a bunch of scientists wearing a worker overalls and flailing around huge backpack vacuum cleaners to suck cartoonish ghosts. Stupid is what makes the concept so funny. You'd never see something like that happening in real life, no matter how realisyic they can make it.

Too much ad libbing, doesn't give the audience a chance to breathe and absorb the jokes or the fear. Like in this clip, if Patty had just been looking around afraid while saying nothing, it would've put the audience on edge, and made any resulting gags even funnier from the tension. All of her lines kind of disrupted it.
