I don’t know why this movie didn’t make the cut in the Cornetto trilogy even though it could’ve worked.
@RobertJW2 жыл бұрын
@@Beanie-Inkling2749The Cornetto Trilogy, technically, requires more than just Nick and Simon in lead roles. To qualify for Cornetto, a movie must be directed by Edgar Wright, written by Wright and Simon Pegg, produced by Nira Park, and starring Pegg and Nick Frost. Paul was written by (and starred, obviously) Nick and Simon, but was directed by Greg Mottola and produced by an international group of companies - Nira Park and Edgar Wright weren't involved.

Right and wrong isn't related to religion, right and wrong are just words to describe the feelings we get when we do things that hurt us or others, its called empathy and its required for a social species to be evolutionarily successful. If you kill a member, it has 0 benefits and destroys trust, leading to either you being left behind/killed or the tribe losing trust in itself and going into disarray, the tribes that respect eachother work together and dominate the hunting, they can also work more efficiently together to kill the tribe thats arguing among itself. If you help eachother, you gain trust, you like the feeling because it creates friends, you can all work together to hunt/build and grow as a species. Right and wrong/good and bad, its wired in our heads, more "advanced" right and wrong like manners, not throwing a ball at some random person and laughing, these types of rights and wrongs come naturally but also need to be reinforced, or else kids will become more and more disrespectful because of their inner weaknesses, they are mean not knowing its "that bad", kids don't want to be friends with him/her, then that kid has a bit of a depressed episode and loses confidence and takes out their anger on more kids, leading to a pissed off kid. Kid don't need religion, kid needs proper guidance from parental figures. We're animals, religion is a manmade system that helped guide some people, also was abused to kill others. We're beyond that now, we don't need religion we need more education and more proper parenting.

What bugs me about this is that the way she says that Christians aren't allowed to drink alcohol or swear. Which is never said anywhere in the Bible. The Bible says to not get drunk, not to not drink alcohol, and it also says to not say the Lord's name in vain, but nowhere does it say you can't cuss. The Bible also says everything in moderation. And that really does mean everything.

@setesh12945 жыл бұрын
@@thewanderingassassinlk3136 and I agree. Sometimes, one needs to vent, and the best way is to just let off a couple swear words. Just as long as it doesn't become a part of your normal vocabulary, you're fine. Also, if you're having a hard time releasing stress, I would recommend picking up target shooting if you're not already into that thing. I often find that if I'm stressed out, a good couple hours on the range, plinking with one of my two military surplus service rifles from before WW2 is really good stress relief.

Gluesniff Piff Religious people are the ones making up there own form of morality. Those who are not don't need to be confined to an established list of things not to do (outside of country government), they just use "common sense and compassion." The way how I see it, religious people associate there god as there driving force behind there common sense and compassion which is strange, because that means that there belief in his existence is the only thing stopping religious people from killing & robbing people. If that's the case, religious people are weak minded.
@jamiete-whau5956 жыл бұрын
WillOfMyD I couldn’t have said it better myself. Atheist, we do things from what WE know from right or wrong. But religious people need someone to tell them what is right or wrong. They are sheep. But I’m my own shepherd.

Glad they poke fun at the heavily religious people and their belief that if there is no God they can just go do everything terrible. Like no, morals and religion are not dependant on one another. Our moral framework came to be from what best helped us as a species. Religion came after morals already existed, and these people that say that the only reason they don't do terrible things is because God, are just actually terrible people and they probably still do pretty bad things. If you need the fear of hell to be a good person, you are not a good person.
