I had a set of VHS tapes la Cage 1 ,2 and 3,,they weren't subtitled, they were spoken in English and sounded just like them❤

I saw this movie so many years ago, and I loved the American version, but it doesn’t compare to this.

The subtitles are rather inaccurate, a lot gets lost in translation.
@stevenklimecky4918 Жыл бұрын
I remember watching this originally on HBO I think - it was a version that had better subtitles. So I know there is a version out there somewhere with a better translation - that goes along better with the original French dialogue as well.

Yes, this is far more funny and poignant than the Robin Williams vehicle

very that

I disagree. I feel that Nathan Lane’s hysterics as Albert are perfect. He really outdid the original. That’s also disregarding Robin’s performance as Armand. Which I prefer, but I think that my view in regard to Williams is jaded by childhood nostalgia, and that I really miss seeing him in movies, and on stage doing improv, and stand up.

I saw this many year ago and it is so much better than the Bird Cage. Nathan Land and Robin Williams had no chemistry
@shelbyherring92 Жыл бұрын
I'd disagree, and just say it's a different kind of chemistry and a different kind of tone for a different time and place... But hey, it's your preferred version for a reason special to you and that's awesome. I love that for you.
