I love the fan theory that Victoire Weasley is called Victoire bc during a drunken game night Fleur lost a bet to Viktor and therefore had to name her first child after him. and its just a lucky coincidence that Victoire means victory in French and that she was born on the same date as the battle of Hogwarts. Hence, Fleur had a better excuse/explanation as to why their child is named Victoire without having to admit she just lost a bet to an old friend.

The fact that Hermione even developed a crush on him because of how appreciated she felt by Viktor only made me realize how much Ron took her for granted. If not for Viktor asking her out, Ron would have never realized how much he loved and needs Hermione and would have never started appreciating her. In a way, Viktor was the reason Ron and Hermione's relationship proceeded!! 😊😊

I feel like Neville’s mother would have cared enough to stand up to Voldemort, I mean she endured the cruciartis curse for hours as to not break the secrets of the order, it’s not a stretch to say she’d defend her son from Voldemort. But for the magic to work, the mother dying had to be offered a chance to live, not just willingly die protecting. The difference being, voldemort did not immediately kill and offered to let her stand aside, only because snake asked him to. (No death eater loved Mrs long bottom that we know of)

I kinda agree. Ron’s insecurity and inferiority complex bothers me and he seems to drag her down. I don’t mind Krum’s jealousy as he just started to know Hermione and Rita was fueling speculations. But Ron knew Hermione for forever and it’s annoying that he gets jealous over Hermione catching up with Viktor (he should trust her more). I like how Viktor respected Hermione’s choice and backed off when he learn she’s with Ron. Moreover Viktor appreciated Hermione for who she is before everyone else did.

Karkarov was actually one of the most despicable characters of the story. Up there with Umbridge. Even the way he helped to catch some people who had commit some of the most horrific crimes was low and pathetic. He was happy to hurt people, and he loved the power that being a death eater gave him. But as soon as he started to be punished, he quickly found out that he couldn't handle it. Not even a few months before he gave up everyone he knew to save himself

@@sarahgrandy7074 Harry and Hermione had literally 0 chemistry romantically. Did you not read the books? We spent the entire series in Harry's head. He basically even preferred Ron over Hermione. And Ron and Hermione faught a lot because they were both emotional sensitive characters and still immature. Ron was also very insecure because of his upbringing while Hermione was lacking social skills and tact. Ron was going through a lot mentally, especially since he in actuality is a very sensitive soul, and he had no one to guide him or help him through his struggles. Hermione's lack of social skills and tact very often triggered and worsened Ron's insecurities. Nonetheless, Ron learned to cope with his insecurities and matured out of his immature behaviour when he grew up to be an adult. Hermione also matured out of her immature stubbornness etc. and developed her weaknesses when she grew up. Even though they had a bumpy start and they both hurt each other while they were still immature, Ron and Hermione completed each other perfectly and brought out the best in each other. Hermione, since we're talking about what was best for her, relaxed and had fun and was full of life when she was with Ron (as well as indirectly learned from him and developed her social skills, all things she struggled with otherwise). She was also actually appreciated and praised by him for her intelligence and dedication, he was not intimidated or turned off by that very prevalent side of her, and never held her back - on the contrary. Ron was also very protective over Hermione and didn't tolerate anyone being disrespectful or rude towards her with the intent of hurting her. Hermione wasn't the type that stood up for herself when others were bullying her or being mean to her, but Ron did stand up for her all the time and showed her that she didn't deserve to be disrespected or bullied, even when that meant negative, sometimes outright dangerous, consequences for himself. Like standing up to Snape during Snape's class when he called her a 'know it all', trying to cast a spell over Draco despite having a broken wand when Draco called her a mud blood, offering to risk his safety to protect her by lying to the ministry about her being his relative and therefore not a muggle born so she wouldn't be wanted person, or nearly losing his mind in panic shouting things like "please take me instead and leave her alone!" when he was locked up in the basement of Malfoy Manor when Bellatrix was torturing Hermione upstairs. Conclusion: they're perfect for each other. They match each other on the sensitivity thing, they're both Gryffindors and therefore share those priorities and personality traits, and Ron helps her develop her weaknesses, supports her, appreciates her, protects her where she isn't able to protect herself, and gives her some joy and light heartedness and humor in life. Without him her life would be so much worse.

@@mariannek6735 Yes I did read the books several times in fact. Ron did stand up for Hermione but he also put her down a lot too. Harry stood up for her just as much and more than Ron. He didn't offer to have her pose as a pure blood realitive because he didn't have that status and he was public enemy number one. Ron was also jealous of her and her talents. Plus jealous of Harry. It wasn't until toward the end of the series, that the author made Harry go for Ginny. However, in an interview JK Rowling even admitted that Hermione would have been better with Harry. Ginny always liked Harry but was infatuated with him before she ever really talked to him. Since Hermione was friends with Ginny she made herself not like Harry for the sake of her friend who liked him. Harry and Ron both thought Hermione looked beautiful at the dance and neither of them thought of her as a girl until Krum did. You can have your opinion but from my opinion Krum and Harry treated her better than Ron. Maybe their marriage got better, over time but they definitely needed some counseling.

Everybody assumes that Viktor did the Transfiguration badly because that's what Harry though in the book, but consider this: If Viktor had transformed fully into a shark, how could he have transported Hermione through the water without hurting her? Sharks have no arms, no way to carry anything! I think Viktor did that Transfiguration exactly as he planned, so he could get Hermione safely back to the surface.

I find him interesting and mysterious when he was first introduced in the book. I love the fact that he shut down Draco's attempts to get friendly with him. But when I saw the actor Krum in the movies I disliked him immediately and I don't know why. Lol! But when I get older I get to appreciate him and regretted loathing his character, he's such a manly man. His friendship with Harry and Fleur is just admirable and sweet. I liked him and Hermione together but Hermione ended up with Ron and I love Rupert/Ron so I'm still happy for them and Krum made his dreams come true and found the love that he deserved. 💖
