I don't know if it's just me projecting, but I get the feeling that after Carrie left, Mark kind of adopted a bit of her style, her humour, more so than he already had... I don't know, it's really endearing. Might even be completely subconscious, but it warms the heart, man. Like a part of her is still in Mark.
@vicentefernandez90847 жыл бұрын
alex ad No, absolutely agree, he's always been a blast. What I meant was that, since Carrie, he sorta took some of her mannerisms, a bit more of her attitude. I'm sure he doesn't even realize it. And it's a beautiful thing to watch.

"I fundamentally disagree with virtually everything you've decided about my character'" -Mark Hamill Its really heart breaking to see him get bitter. He really loves luke and Star Wars. He respects the fans and George Lucas. He was sooo optimistic after TFA even while he was not happy with the movie. Seeing how they treated Luke and his legacy .. and how they *spoiler*... Makes me wish that they never made new movies.
@lukeskywalker68097 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right. He was cheated by Disney and Kennedy. They ruined his character. He will always be Luke Skywalker, the last Jedi. Yoda told so himself in Return of the Jedi on his death bed. And that's all that matters. We will always have the classic Star Wars trilogy with Mark and Carrie and Harrison. So we are very fortunate. Thank you, Mr. Mark Hamill for being my childhood hero. You are the greatest.

Kelly Marie Tran is so precious! And she made such a great point towards the end there. There are people out there, myself included, who have fallen in love with her character already, and we've barely even gotten a glimpse of her in trailers yet. I think we have one line from her, and about 2 seconds with of footage in total. I remember seeing Kylo Ren in the first teaser for TFA, and I was like "That guy is cool, I wanna do that costume. I'm GOING to do that costume" And I didn't even know what his face looked like. I was instantly drawn to the character on the basis that he, or she (I didn't know at the time) looked really cool, and I wanted to be a fan of them. Fast forward 2-3 years and I've got the costume, a few replica props, and a bunch of toys and figures. And so this year, during Celebration, they introduced Rose. And I had almost the exact same reaction as I did with Kylo Ren. I saw her and immediately was like "I want to be a fan of this character". Now, I'm not looking to do the whole costume, or own every toy for her. But I'm still a huge fan of Rose Tico already, and the movie isn't even out yet. I just love the idea of her character.
@noahwayne70957 жыл бұрын
Apparently her and Finn's story is the weakest part of the movie per several critics
@JMotion7 жыл бұрын
It definitely is, but I still think her character was fantastic. The Finn/Rose story arc was ultimately a dead end for the story of the film, but the whole Canto Bight thing they go through is one big waste of time. It feels like they could've shortened a lot of that sequence, but instead they let it take up a good 30 minutes of the movie. But as far as Rose goes, I really like how she's introduced, and I'm pretty happy with where they took her as a character. Her introduction is one of my favourite little character moments in the movie.

When Captain phasma says" I never thought I would be in a star wars movie and have the director ask me ""what do you think about your character "" !!!!!" That tells me everything I need to know about Ruin Johnson and his lack of understanding of Star Wars. I understand how actors don't have time to learn about every story they act in, but the director is supposed to have the Vision of the story. They are supposed to understand the characters and the story being told.... not ask the actors on set how the actors are supposed to act.... That's Gwendoline Christie secretly saying (The director in Star Wars didn't know what he was doing and she didn't get any directing cues...) this makes sense how the game of thrones guys names where floated for directing at the time, People were complaining about the director and Disney thought why not get Gwendoline's old directors...
