“I choose violence.” My FAVORITE Cersei line in the whole series! The Hound can axe people to death, does make him terrifying. The Mountain can literally rip people’s heads off, yes he’s very much like Predator.
@fina4907 Жыл бұрын
It's very difficult to choose only one: "Power is power", "“Everyone who isn’t us is an enemy”, "The more people you love, the weaker you are (...) Love no one but your children" and (of course) "When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die: there is no middle ground" are also great and Lena Headey made them unforgettable.

"I choose violence" i hear this all the time all over social media now, like "woke up and chose violence"... did it come from this? i'm not sure if people were already saying it before or if it literally came from Cersei... if so that's pretty cool haha

In regards to your comment on Blackfish's death being offscreen, apparently the actor said: "there was a lot of tonal discussion about this, and I think I can safely speak for the writers that the choice was a conscious one in the writing not to see his actual death, because the emotional focus was really about the final moments between him and Brienne -- two warriors, two samurais, facing each other -- and Brienne's acknowledgment that this fellow samurai has chosen his moment, and this is his moment of dignity and choice of his death. So it was really about that moment of choice and the dignity and acceptance between these two great warriors, rather than the actual detail of his actual death. That was actually a tonal choice as to how we saw that character."
@richardwallis9374 Жыл бұрын
I agree. He even said as he went to what he knew was his death that he was likely to make a damn fool of himself. Why would seeing that be a good creative choice.

Jamie is an honorable man, we saw it through his journey with Brienne. But I think when it comes to his family and specifically Cersei: Jamie is capable of almost anything. “The things we do for love” and Maester Aemon’s quote “Love is the death of duty” both perfectly sum up Jamie’s character. He’s a complex person that can’t be put into a box, and he’s one of many, that’s why I love this show so much.

3:58 fun fact, that actor who got his bumhole fingered, is Steve Love. When GoT was airring, he made several impressively accurate voice impressions of GOT characters including Jon Snow, Samwell Tarley, PetyrBaelish and Varys. He got casted for a cameo after his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel or something.
@Ash.Crow.Goddess Жыл бұрын
Here's a thought experiment... (You won't get the answer on the show, so it's not a spoiler.) Anyway, when Jamie said those horrible things to Edmure (about catapulting his baby) he was a different Jamie than the one who spoke to Brienne. You heard him. He wants to take River Run (Tully castle) without bloodshed. In fact, he was influenced by that conversation with Brienne. He loves her, that's plainly obvious at this point, but Cersei is the love of his life. And his sister. Weirdly, they have a sibling relationship and a love relationship. You can see it the way they sarcastically jab each other to the quick, but it's no big deal. It would warp one's mind. But he told that awful story to Edmure, because he had to find a way to end the conflict with the least amount of bloodshed. Would the Jamie we know today make that same call? Or did he just say that to get the castle quickly and easily. It's a tough call, because on day one, he DID push Bran right out the window. And he did say that same line, "The things we do for love." And Jaime tells himself he IS decent because everything he does is to protect his family. His children, his sister, Tyrion, even Tywin. He did not obey the mad king when he told him to bring Tywin's head to him. Jamie is monumentally conflicted. He is the only Lannister that loved ALL the Lannisters. Even Tywin, not very much, but he was pissed when Tyrion killed him. Remember, he stood his vigil at the body of Tywin for days without moving. It was more than a sense of duty. It's up in the air, really. But, today at least, I don't believe he would've done it. Also, I welcome all comments. It is truly something I'd love opinions on. I go back and forth, here, all the time, when I'm rewatching.

For Arya, I didn’t like the fact that anyone receiving those types of stabs to the stomach would die (during those times). Any perforation of the intestines or bowels you would go septic. However, I thought they could get around it by Lady Crane saying as she stabbed former lovers then patched them up she used some magical healing drops she discovered from the far end of the world where they toured and these would help heal Arya faster. If we have dragons, Melisandre, and people that come back to life surely we can have some magical healing drops?

Winterfell was granted to the Boltons by royal decree, just like Riverrun was granted to the Freys. lol The blackfish should have just accepted Briennes proposal to leave. He could have escorted the remainder of his army North, helped Jon & Sansa retake Winterfell..then he could have returned to Riverrun with 10 times the men. lol

While it's true that Arya's training is pretty long, strange, and even dull at times, I still appreciate its portrayal in the series for one simple reason: it shows that Arya's extraordinary abilities really required her to sacrifice and EARN those abilities, and we as the audience should be made to experience that sense of balance before we can fully enjoy her subsequent badassery.

@bill7817 Жыл бұрын
If you want my opinion, i have had the same prospective and i also having the same now that i actually hate the sparrows. I think its because they actually did terrible things to people who didn't deserve like Loras and Margery for something supernatural and some ideas for the life which only the sparrows embraced. And the top thing was to abusing in such way a "WOMAN" even it was Cersei with all the mistakes she has done, she deserved a fair trial . That was the red flag to me . They were not represented the Gods they were pretending that they are the Gods. The high Sparrow on the other hand i believe it was actually a decent person which he believes very much to the power of the peaople if they stand together no matter if they are whelthy or not they can dethrone an empire and this actually goes to us . We can do very much things if we stand together and brace ourselves to the governments but we aren't doing this cause we care only for our comfort zone!!!

Slower? Your one of the faster reactors to this show. If a reactor dosn't average at least one episode a week, it just takes too long to get involved watching it for me. Sure you can have breaks between seasons. A British couple I loved reacting to this, I dropped because they started around January and they are only starting season 2. Another Brit couple I really liked will do 3-7 episodes at a good pace, then nothing for a month or more. Dropped them too. Then there are the ones that just drop the show entirely but never tell you that they did. Wilburn Shenanigans. Did just that. Dee, the wife was reacting to GoTs. You could see she was struggling with the content but was still giving a good reaction. She dropped them right after Joffrey's death. Never said a word that she did. Just no reaction to it for almost 3 months now. But even worse is ALL she reacts to other than the occasional movie is "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Not only that but she said she is going to start the show over from the beginning. AND she already did do that with her hubby as she was still watching the last season herself when she started reacting to season 1 with him. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!.

I don't think Jamie would had killed Edmure's son - since he was a boy, he was very important for the Frey/Tully "alliance" so the Freys wouldn't have allowed it. (Same reason why Edmure couldn't have been killed - he was an important hostage. The Blackfish was aware of that too, so that's why he was so nonchalant about it.) On the other hand when Jamie slapped Black Walder proving the point of not giving idle threats without the intent to carry them out, Edmure was present. He couldn't risk to test whether Jamie was bluffing about the catapult thing or not - Jamie was very clear about not giving idle threats) The next two episodes are some of the best of the series. Tommen basically knowingly killed his mother with that decree. Also, it was pretty clear that it was something the High Sparrow wanted, being aware that Cersei might be trying to pull that thing off with the Mountain.
