Incase you girls were wondering, Billy cast aside his gun so he could face the creature head-on. He understood it was a hunter, and would face him face-to-face instead of gunning him down from afar. He also cut himself with his machete to deny the creature first blood drawn.

He knew he was going to die and didn’t want to be hunted but go down fighting. He wanted to die like a warrior and it is likely a descendent of a Native American warrior tribe. That’s kind of what they were eluding to with his character.

Interesting detail. After this fight. The predator is seen ripping the skull and spine out of billys body. Then caressing it affectionally, indicating that the predator values this price higher than the rest of his trophies, due to billys bravery

A true classic. This one pulled a perfect bait and switch. It went from a cold war action romp with intrigue related to Dillon deceiving Dutch and his team for his own ends, to suddenly become a slasher survival horror where no one is safe. The Predator's final laugh will always be the stuff of pure nightmares and Dutch's hollow expression at the end says it all about his aftermath.

@@logann7942that’s something that annoys me about a lot of alien movies. Good bad or mediocre, way too many of them feel obligated to show the alien spaceship coming at the beginning and I feel like that robs the film of a lot of mystery. They do it in the Thing, Annihilation, and I think every Predator movie has it in some form. Not saying any of them are bad because of it, I just wish they skipped that one shot.

No digital effects or CGI. No photoshop back in 1987. That was a really convincing mask and costume for the predator for the time. The most realistic thing we had seen in special effects for movies back in that day. Great reaction, beautiful ladies! Keep up the great content, I love watching these old classics with you.

FYI, "Guerrillas" are irregular fighters that fight wars with ambushes and sneak attacks. They use the terrain to hide their movements - jungle fighters, for example. "Guerilla" means "little war" in Spanish. (The word is not related to the English word Gorilla, but they do sound very similar, so they are easy to confuse.)

Classic 80s :D 2:22 Hella's face when she saw the muscles in the atomic handshake xD I grew up on this movie, saw it when I was about 7 or 8 in 1988-1989, along with RoboCop, Terminator, Carpenter's The Thing, Poltergeist (1982), Alien and Aliens. You can't beat the 80s for class and style... which is why almost every single movie today is a sequel, prequel, or remake, of 80s movies... and they never get it right. Predator 2 is worth a watch... ignore the rest of the sequels though.

The Predator's face is one of the best alien designs ever. He removed his mask as a sign of respect to Dutch. The fact that he set his self-destruct bomb on a delay long enough for him to get out of range instead of just setting it off instantly shows that Dutch earned his respect.

Their species is called Yautja, they are a space faring species with high technology that can easily travel to other stars, hunt various things, and they have a strict code of honor related to hunting other beings. Any dangerous animal or sapient being is fair game, unless it is not armed or cannot pose a realistic threat otherwise, is a child, a pregnant female or has a sickness/disability. Any Yautja who is found breaking these rules is banished from the clan and is branded as a "bad blood"(criminal), to be killed by other lawful Yautja on sight. Trophies are taken from worthy hunts, or sometimes given away to members of other sapient species that best their warriors/hunters in battle, as a sign of big respect. The self destruct bomb is so that no other species can learn the Yautja's technological secrets by salvaging their equipment.

There are many cultures where they would wound themselves drawing first blood which would then deny a enemy they went against to do so. This is what Billy did when he cut himself, he knew his chances were slim to none and wanted to deny the jungle hunter first blood in their showdown. Predators also has a similar fight as well between the super predator falconer and the Yakuza gang member taken and brought in to be hunted.

predator are one of my favourite sci-fi franchise & it's a fun reaction to watch. guerilla (not a gorilla 🤣) means freedom fighters, a rebel fighters. also the predator tracks it's prey by using thermal vision. it sense our body temprature. that's why Dutch used mud to cover himself because mud lower or block your heat signature in thermal vision you should watch Predator 2, Predators, and Prey next!

Great video as always ladies! I dont know if anyone else mentioned this, but the Predator was played by a man named Kevin Peter Hall. He also played Harry in the family comedy Harry and The Henderson's. About a family camping trip where they find bigfoot and bring him home with them. Sadly, Kevin Peter Hall passed away in 1992(?) after a bad car accident. He was rushed into surgery and was accidentally given contaminated blood. RIP Kevin Peter Hall

My all-time favorite movie! Glad you liked it! Also, here’s a few extra details to help you understand it better: 1. The conflict depicted in the movie is supposed to be one of the so-called “dirty wars” in Central America in the 80s, in which the CIA supported local right-wing governments against Marxist insurgents (“guerrilla” being another term for “insurgent”), which is why Dillon was present as a CIA agent. The thing he lied about in the beginning was that they were supposed to rescue an allied Central American government official, when in reality that guy was from the CIA itself and had gone in to uncover intel on a planned Soviet-backed invasion. 2. The creature uses infrared (IR) vision, which only allows it to see heat signatures; that’s why it couldn’t see Arnold’s character when he was covered in mud. Interestingly, the ambient temperature in the jungle where they filmed the movie was so hot that surroundings had to be doused in cold water or else everyone was invisible to the IR cameras in the sweltering heat! Keep in mind that the creature’s vision also shows more ambient heat when it removes its mask, so clearly the mask has some kind of advanced feature that allows it to filter that out when worn. 3. The creature didn’t kill Anna or Dutch (Arnold’s character) immediately because it comes from a society of alien hunters who specifically prey on intelligent beings for trophies but also follow a specific code of honor while doing so. This first film hints at it, but I think the general idea is that they only go for enemies that they perceive as capable of killing them, and they confront those enemies on their own level of ability in that situation. That’s why the creature went for stealth kills for most of the team members but ultimately confronted Billy and then Dutch up close and out in the open after they had dropped their guns.

The lead character, the soldier with alll the big muscles, that is Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is a body builder who was born in Austria. He won the Mr. Olympia title 6 years in a row and then went to Hollywood to begin his acting career. Following his "American Dream"... He later served as the govenor of the state of California, from '03 to '11. He later became Governor for the state of Minnesota. Billy is an American Indian. He has a very bad temper. He needed a group of bodyguards, not to protect him but to protect others from him. One of the best fictional aliens, the predator civilization hunts for sport and they have honor codes, they dont hunt unarmed and innocent people, thats why Dutch kicked the gun from Anna's hands because he realized it only attacks armed people, that's why the predator took off its equipment to fight with Dutch face to face. The predators go around the galaxy, looking for worthy opponents and the most dangerous ones to gain respect and honor and status in their civilization, they keep the skulls as trophies, losing a fight its a real shame and an insult for them, thats why it activated self destruction, one last thing, at the end, the predator wasn't laughing, it was mimicking Billy's laughter just to make it be creepier and mysterious, great video and cute reactions. ❤

Predators do have a sense of honor if they deem you a worthy match. Billy stood his ground and the predator respected that so fought him hand to hand. Dutch survived until the end and the predator showed honor in “evening” the odds by not using its advanced weapons and camouflage.

If guys enjoyed Predator and haven't watched this movie, I recommend another iconic classic movie, the original Robocop (1987). Robocop is a great character, and the movie has a great story.

In case nobody has said it yet -- it's "guerillas" they're talking about in the beginning, not "gorillas." Pronounced the same, but two different words. Basically it's civilian soldiers who attack and then disappear into the forest. Great reaction to a classic movie!
