This is an overview of the poster detail editor used for creating your own poster metadata and editing existing poster data. We also explore the 'custom posters' option which allows for displaying images form a folder.

I love the movie poster app it’s great I’m just having trouble figuring out how to download and get motion posters working is there a specific spot and place to download them on my machine?

In the pop up menu go to web remote and it will show the screen he is on in a web browser. From there on the top left select poster cache and if you selection the right actions button you can add posters from web

I've been using this application in my theater room and I appreciate all of your hard work that you put into it. It's fantastic! I do have a question, however. When I put JPEG files in the Media Store folder and then go into the web remote poster cache to manually add my custom posters nothing shows up in "Media Store." What am I doing wrong?

I love this program and have actually donated a few times because i love it so much, but i can not for the life of me get the trailers to play. i've tried everything but no luck. When and if possible can you please make a video on how to get trailers to display and what needs to be done if it doesn't work.

i myself cannot get trailers to play , plus i dont have the meta data loaded that says poster detail. Not sure which movie poster to run...

Its an interesting app but but it would make sense if conected to kodi or plex it would scan the library and change the banners from “coming soon” to maybe “available”

That is planned for a future release. It will use the "Featuring" banner and have options to have different banners per plugin. So you could have "featuring on Plex" and "Featuring on Kodi"

How do you set up the Media Store? I tried just moving images into the folder but that doesn't work and the webremote doesn't see them

Once I get my theater room Set up I’m buying this. I was reading about it and there’s no way to have just the poster full screen without the coming soon and info in the bottom? If so, do you plan to add a full screen mode?

The issue is that posters are not the same aspect ratio as a TV. The header and footer areas are not covering any part of the poster image. TVs are a 16:9 ratio, posters are almost always 3:2, this means that the poster will never fill the entire screen unless it is cropped or stretched to fit. Personally, I thinks those are both poor options. I am currently implementing options to not display the various visual elements, such as the headers and metadata info. However, this wont make posters magically fill the screen unless an image of the correct proportions is used. I've played with stretching and cropping options, but it really doesn't work very well. You end up with things like circles that aren't round anymore, or text cut off the screen. I may include those options in the future. But again, the best choice is to use images that are he right ratio for a TV, which means you'll need to manually set those yourself for each poster.

The version demonstrated here is 2.3.0.5 . If you are running an older version, the options you see might be slightly different.

Hi Dane great video Im having problems by the plugin options I use plex but get the error connection failed Please verify your setting for server address are they referring to device IP address as server port is already populated with the server port number. hope you can help as what you created is aswesome.

Dont use KODI or PLEX to play movies. 99% movies are played from Netflix, Disney+, Prime. How to enable now playing for streaming service
