I've got it linked to Plex and now plaing says the correct movie but it's not displaying the poster just the Gread Dane Cinema one. If I turn off the projector then it displays normal "Coming Soon" posters. Any suggestions? I don't have plex pass and I haven't paid for the Poster program yet. I want to be sure it works before I do.

Is it safe to assume that it only displays posters of the movies etc being played from your server (folder) and not movies you watch directly in plex??

How do I setup Display id-1 that was deleted by mistake in Movie Poster app. I tried adding new thin restart and still not there HELP

My port is different than 32400 and every time I test it it fails and says there's nothing playing at IP:32400 even though I have the port set to something else.

Ok, I've seen 2 videos on how to do this. One random guy, and your video. I'm not stupid when it comes to computers lol. I know what I'm doing. But I can't get my movie poster to connect to Plex. My IP address is correct. My Port is correct. My Device names is correct. But the connection ALWAYS fails!!! Is there another possible reason why it won't connect? Again, my IP address is correct, my Port is correct and my Device name is correct. Active boxes are checked also. Please help!!

Is the movie poster app not working anymore? Everyone I open the app, I don't get anything. Just the registration screen and the app is running but I can't find it on my screen. I see it at the bottom in the task bar, but not on my screen. I click the task bar and nothing happens

It sounds like you might need to check the display configuration. You can access the settings by right clicking on the Movieposter icon in the system tray and adjust settings as needed.

@@greatdanecinema hey I figured it out. I had to right click where the tab was and select move. Then with the keyboard I hit the arrows to move it. For some reason it was in between screens and I couldn't see or grab it. Works great now

Hey, I have set everything up correctly. But I always get the error "x" was not found on your Plex Media Server. When I definitely entered the correct name.

Thanks for posting. I followed the video through a number of times, but still get “connection Failed! NotConnected”... please verify your settings.

You may want to check your firewall settings and make sure that MoviePoster is allowed for outbound connections. Similarly if your Plex server has a firewall make sure the ports are allowed.

I am getting an Auth Failure with plex for some reason even though the ip is whitelisted, any ideas?

@@anixan did you check the end of the video where it talks about how to allow the connection without requiring authentication in the plex settings?

@@burgermeyer I did add the server ip and disabled the firewall with no luck. Tomorrow I will try adding the submask and catchall ip range and share the results. Thanks

@@kevinoconnor6570 no I didn't, I ended up using Posterr program instead since this guy doesn't want to reply to any comments or fix his coding.
