I feel like we have been stuck in a loop for decades where writers can only think of the same type of protagonists in their movies. Divorced couples, either the man gets a new wife that will die halfway through the movie so that he can go back to his ex. Or the woman gets a new husband that will get killed halfway through the movie so she can go back to her ex. Oh and teenagers that do stupid things. 95% of end-of-the-world type scenarios have literally that as main characters.

So if companies know they need 1 year for a job but they got a 3 year timeframe, they will accept the contract and then first finish other jobs and treat the Gov contract like a side-hustle

the god of the bible killed 28,000,000 in the bible. The bad guy killed only one, and that was under orders from the god.

Remember when people say the moon landings (in the 60s and 70s) were CGI, just look at this made in 2016 and ask if that could have been possible.

Before 2020 I would have thought it hard to believe anyone would have a problem with saying put in a safe location for a single day.

Given the misinformation spouted by our government about Covid during the entire pandemic I think the odds are now higher that people will ignore the authorities. Plus, there is a difference between dealing with a monster that will kill you and eat you versus a virus that isn't all that deadly overall, not much worse than the flu for most people. Besides, a single day is much different than the apparent length of this "eclipse".

That sounds like something a popular earth god would do. Magic heart attacks? Nah. If it really was about population: Make people less horny? Nope. Make the ground more fertile? Unh-uh. Slaughter? YES, PLEASE!

I made it to the end so I think it's a rather good movie ... but the pot wholes! They know they come during the eclipse, the fact that they aren't prepared to go underground during every eclipse especially with the early signs is hard to overlook. Still rather good despite the plot holes.

@@dmy_tromen seem to like it that way since they’re the ones who created and keep enforcing that concept, and starting wars and most major emergencies

@@kissit012.. because we men understand that women need to be saved and cannot help themselves in times of dire need or serious emergencies, and that men are more level-headed during emergencies whereas women are often more emotional under stress and situational pressure. What a disgusting comment of yours; obviously men start wars, but to posit that men “start most major emergencies” is so blatantly ignorant I almost envy what it’s like to post a comment so confidently stupid.
