@@brandon5012 The Terminator used human weapons, as it was designed by humans. The aliens in this movie were armed with advanced energy weapons which do not look like human designs. The humans, I note, were often using conventional firearms that were not ejecting spent cartridges. (Bad CGI.)

Getting tired of all these sci fi aliens being humanoid. Granted there aren't many body forms suitable for space travel. Also difficult for the human mind to conceive of various forms. So we are stuck with whatever the writers think of. Star Trek is the worst. Almost every space faring species encountered was humanoid. The work around making communication possible, was the "universal" translator. That series wouldn't have worked otherwise.
