@@TannerBartko I want Gone With The Wind on 4K as well. It should have came out last year and I don’t know what is taking so long since last year was its 85th anniversary. Gone With The Wind is one of my favorite movies of all time and I am a sane millennial who loves that movie.

That movie not only needs a modern transfer, it deserves a truly amazing release like the recent Searchers release.

⁠@@Metalhead_TedWith how much Disney has been leaning into having Dolby Vision in their newer 4K releases, I wouldn’t be surprised if Fight Club did include it. And with Atmos, I think that’s a given because they have been pretty good about adding it into their older films on 4K.

three films that I’m anxiously awaiting for their 4k jump, all happen to turn fifty years old in 2025: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Barry Lyndon, and Dog Day Afternoon. 3 absolute beasts of cinema, with Barry Lyndon in particular being my most anticipated catalog release (next to Hero as well) in terms of its visual potential getting the hdr/dolby vision treatment

"Hero" would be awesome. That is such a visually beautiful movie. The cinematography was done by Christopher Doyle which was my gateway to the works of Wong Kar Wai, many of which became favorites. There is a 4K release of "Kill Bill" coming out soon that I am excited for. However, after waiting for decades now... (for good or worse) I wish we could get a release of "The Whole Bloody Affair" as well. I wish there was more focus on 4K TV series. I generally prefer TV series to movies. Even a 2K version of ST:DS9 would be the best gift.

GWTW and Master & Commander (as mentioned) absolutely. Add 60’s icons Doctor Zhivago and Mutiny on the Bounty (Marlon Brando version). Both have brilliant landscapes and soundtracks that could translate beautifully to 4K, assuming pristine prints can be sourced. I’d buy Ben Hur.
