Hogan getting booed out of the building was the highlight of the night. You could tell he wasn't expecting it and seemed like he got through it quick to get out of there. Hulkamania is dead and Hogan was the one that killed it.

The irony of the people who paid for the most expensive tickets in WWE history and cheered like little girls at the Saudi Rumble announcement but booing Hulk Hogan is so funny 😂😂😂😂

The show felt like they were trying to cater to and attract new viewers that havent watched wwe before and have netflix subscriptions. Also what happened to the Final Boss? Nobody asked for this corporate rock whos all of a sudden buddy-buddy with cody rhodes out of nowhere
@Algo116 күн бұрын
It was, and I feel like they absolutely delivered on that note. Time will tell if they succeeded at getting new eyeballs that stick around, but that's their problem. And it's not like they didn't advance any story on top of that. 10/10
@abovewater691816 күн бұрын
I think this was a one time appearance by "Dwayne" (and not Final Boss) while the Netflix bosses were there. He had to play the corporate role for the night. I think he's going to pretend to be on Roman's side for awhile then will eventually turn on him. But I totally agree this felt like they were catering to new potential fans
@CamPopplestone15 күн бұрын
I'm guessing when Reigns fails to win the Rumble, Rock will turn on him for failing the family or something
@georgealvarez119515 күн бұрын
It wasn't for new fans. Because if it was yall ran them off and they ain't never coming back. This was a show for you hard marks who like having no promos no mic work no vignettes cuz yall love matches
@Algo115 күн бұрын
@georgealvarez1195 that made zero sense, or maybe it did in the US? Plenty of promos and vignettes elsewhere during commercials

I was at the event. Cody was only in the crowd for that opening segment. They had all the wrestlers play musical chairs at ringside. They were only in those seats for a few minutes to get them on TV. Then they had them move and other wrestlers would take the same spot
@Millie_Rose_714 күн бұрын
The show itself felt like a great mix of nostalgia and easy introduction for new viewers especially with how beautifully Michael Cole explained each backstory for the new viewers. I thought the entire opening video and speech from HHH was absolutely beautiful! Hogan getting booed SO HARD brought me a lot of joy! I’m excited for the championship final between Lyra and Dakota next week!

@JayEmAy15 күн бұрын
The problem with the Final Testament in general and Karrion Kross specifically is that they haven't won nearly enough. These guys need to be booked as killers to get over, but at best they've been getting 50-50 booking.

Its wild to me that they thought it was worth it to bring out Hulk Hogan, with his history, in a blue state. When despite Trump winning the election by a landslide, still 50% of American voters did not vote that way. Which was all for an ad spot for his awful beer, I've just gotta assume that Hulk's company paid a lot, and Triple H knew exactly what would happen but wasnt gonna tell Hogan.

Hogan supported Trump, but as he said during his speech at the RNC and after the only reason he felt moved enough to speak was because of the assasination atttempt. That shouldn’t be a controversial position.

I hated Hulkamania. I did love when he became the heal/heel with the NWO. To me that's what made wrestling go from the eh people watch it to, wow this stuff is funny we should watch. Undertaker was my favorite wrestler. Didn't like the Crow I mean Sting Arc. Then stopped watching around 2005. Tune in every 5 years. See the Rock is still alive. Go about my business. Its way to happy and bright and colorful now. Thanks for the change of scenery. Once again, screw spelling.
@DocJ58-OCB16 күн бұрын
I thought "The Rock" was going to turn on Roman, hit him with a lariat and the rock bottom and we'd get the Roman vs Rock at 'Mania. As for "The Boo Day", they are going to absolutely snot kick Otis and Tozawa, and Jimmy and Sami, and a couple of other "face" teams and then maybe attack "Big E." then they're the heels they should be. Shannon, I 1000% agree with you regarding Hogan, I hated him in the 80's, and still despise him to this day... difference being, I know the big goof personally (I worked in and around the business for a few years back in the late 70's/early 80's... long drawn out story goes nowhere, but he was Terry Boulder the first time I met him.) His support for "The Mango Maniac" is just the icing on the cake to prove the man is as demented as his fraudster/felon hero ... that's why they keep Jimmy Hart around, to guide "The Red and Yellow Reject" around and make sure his dibbles don't show.
@JosephTB81316 күн бұрын
Whew! After all the 2 hr shows; that show felt looong, especially with few matches. It also felt one long commercial, too many cross promotion for Netflix shows. They gotta tighten it up. Also, boo-ing Hulk, kinda low class. I’m still riding the Tiffy cash in though!

Underwhelming for me. Not enough wrestling. Too much of WWE blowing themselves and showing 800 random celebrities in the audience. Hogan getting booed out of the building while he tried to hawk his stupid beer was awesome. The main event delivered. Seth needs his get back. Looking for a Drew-like meltdown from him now. I didn't understand Rock putting over Cody and acting like nothing ever happened between them. Frankly, I'm not interested in those two matching up at Mania so if that's squashed now, I wont complain. It was just strange how they went about it.
@gen-x-dad16 күн бұрын
had to tune in for the first Netflix show. Reminded me why I don't watch much WWE. Great production values, off the charts, nothing compares to it. Lack of wrestling though, and the matches "WWE" style are pretty boring. Rhea is my fav wrestler on the planet male or female, and overall the WWE women's division is great. I agree with Shannon's takes including Hogan, but as a recap I wouldnt say it was a good show.

Absolutely atrocious commercial timing all throughout. You'd think being on a streaming platform they can better space out the commercial breaks. I haven't watched wrestling in a long time but if that shit continues, I won't be sticking around long. Also the other announcer guy on the left (forgot his name) has to go, he's annoying af.

From what I understand, the show will usually be 2 hours, but obviously this one stretched to 3. They will need to try to stick to 2 as much as possible. These 3 hour shows just end up with too little, and this card was loaded as is
@slvrblk3116 күн бұрын
Raw is usually three hours some "insiders" (I use this term loosely) say that WWE has the ability to stretch it to 3.5 hours if need be. I don't think it's necessary but 10 to 15 mins over to let things breathe would be alright.

Greetings, fellow Canadian. I think they should give Cena a title run at some point, slightly predictable but my opinion is that Flair doesn't deserve to keep the record after all his scandals. Cena may or may not be able to wrestle, but at least his image is clean...
