I remember Michael Franseze was talking about how upset he was when they name dropped him in the movie. He said his anger came from adding him despite he never associated with that particular crime family.
@negativeindustrialАй бұрын
That’s absolutely nothing like what he said. He said he was slightly uncomfortable because his wife was with him in the theatre and he didn’t know his name was in it. He did say he knew the guys depicted in the movie despite them being in a different family.

Michael Franzese lies all the time. I am pretty sure the story about Chin Gigante was bull shit. Smart guy but not a good person. Natural transition con man to Catholic priest. The Bamboo Lounge was owned by Sonny MacConnach, Paul Vario’s brother in law and longtime Lucchese associate
@PaisanVinnJKАй бұрын
I knew Sonny as a kid. My father used to go to the Bamboo lounge ( It was renamed the Regis in the late 70’s early 80’s). I used to go with him there… I’d would be drinking a coke at the bar while my dad talked to Sonny and a few other guys. Played Asteroids for the first time in that place. Never knew his mob ties, just knew him as a friend of my dad. In the late 80’s early 90’s, it was renamed the Le Parc by his son who eventually took over the place.Eventually it shut down … last time I was in Canarsie, it was turned into a nail salon. That whole neighborhood changed. But for those who wish to know the location, it was on the corner of Rockaway parkway and Avenue N in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn

@PaisanVinnJKАй бұрын
@@painkillerjones6232 not to my knowledge but I can tell you the incident you see in the movie where Sonny gets hit with the bottle NEVER HAPPENED. In Nick Pellegi’s book, Henry explains that Wiseguys would run the exorbitant tabs at restaurants and when the owners would look to collect, the wiseguys would cause a scene or threaten the owner and the bill would be forgotten about. Scorsese used Sonny as the example for time constraints and to showcase how wiseguys avoided paying. The real Sonny was pissed, he said Scorsese made him look like a jerkoff.

I knew Anthony Stabile. I was just out of the military, unemployed, angry, and was a hang around. Stabile was charismatic. He led, directed, and controlled Tommy Desimone. Tommy was a follower always trying to show off. I saw the picture of him with the open shirt. That looks intimidating, but he lost weight and bulk later due to drugs and was only tough with two guns. I never saw the mad-dog killer in Tom. He acted normal when out and could fool you.

My Aunt was from Long Island and is connected to the Lucchese Family. My dad attended the wedding between my aunt and uncle and said it was exactly like the wedding in Goodfellas where they get a sack and everyone stuffs it full of envelopes full of cash and they set it aside for safe keeping. And there's a ton of big guys there in 3 piece suits and you can see a lot of them are standing guard in the corner and you could see they had shoulder holsters with guns in them. Everyone there was dressed in their Sunday best and armed, the stereotypical big Italian men that you can tell are connected. I'd love to hear more about the Lucchese Family. I don't want to hear about Michael Franzese though because he's all over KZbin and he's so popular but he's a rat, a liar and is just living the life and the con after he left the life, making all kinds of money off his mob legacy and his wine and books and merch and speaking engagements and claiming to be a born again Christian. I don't buy the act, I see right through him for that he really is. And many others do as well and call him out on it.
