Great interview man and out of all the I'm Not There interviews I've seen on youtube Ledger seemed to enjoy this one the most. You can tell by his facial expressions and his attitude.

It was awkward because the interviewer didn't know Heath and Michelle had split up by this point, so that's why Heath answered the way he did ("That's what we did", ie in the past when they were together)

Is it me or it is evident from Heath that actors ‘have’ to do those interviews, and he didnt want to be there, but as the kind soul he is he was in the moment and attentive anyway? He doesnt look completely at comfort

I think his lack of comfort was more because of outside things going on in his life. This would've been around the same time he started taking those prescription medications for pain and insomnia. Insomnia will wreck a person. Maybe he got addicted, who knows. But you can see his hair is unwashed and he likely hadn't showered in awhile. So something was probably going on in his life. I love that he still did interviews despite it. But the overworking of himself surely did a toll on his health.
