I moved about a year ago and hired a safe company to move the safe for me. I had moved it previously when I was 10 years younger and it nearly killed me. I believe it cost me $350 to take it out of my garage and get it into a back bedroom of the new house. Was totally worth it. The movers had a special trailer, and a hydraulic climbing dolly to get it up the stairs. Nothing got broken and I didn't injure myself. Cheers to you for moving your own, it is quite a feat!

Oh man, that’s a smart way to do it. If you gotta do it yourself, this is a good way to do it! Now you can move it around in the future, too! Been a while since I’ve said hello man, sorry about that, been busy with my own builds and getting my shop up and running. I have so many cool things now, craftsman atlas lathe w/ 12” swing and all original parts including change box, mini mill, Everlast 211si welder and a 72in belt grinder that I welded together myself and lots of other things, built most of the stuff here on the channel as well and I’ll be finishing up by getting my own heat treat oven made soon as well, that one will take a bit more finesse, but with your instruction, I’ll be fine! Thanks for all the help brother, I very much appreciate it. Keep em coming!

Great Video! With Real Practical Value! One Note - Always get Someone to be with you, no need even to touch anything or help physically, but Just in Case! For you, this is your Wife and she is on the scene the whole time! Never be alone, because if Something happens and somehow you a stuck or somehow trapped with the safe you need help eminently. Last year, here in my country Bulgaria we has one fatal incident - one young man 23 years old, in very good physical condition, move a refrigerator by himself, enters an elevator with the refrigerator and the elevator stuck between two floors, the fridge has fallen and trapped him. He does not expect something like this happens and put himself in an Extremely tight position against the refrigerator and barely can breathe, he thing is only for 20-30 seconds, but the unthinkable happens and he dies in the elevator, screaming, but no matter how fast the service technicians arrive at the site he has already died... NEVER Ever move something heavy alone, Always with Someone with you, for backup in case of emergency!

I delivered safes for 8 years and we would just push up the safe to a 45 degree angle while one guy holds it balanced the other guy would slip in the flat dolley and we were good to go. Of course we used teflon sheets to protect transitions and to ramp over the threshold. Our flat dolley was specially made with tiny rubber wheels to protect floors and allow us to go under low doors. When we had steps we used the ultra lift climbing dolley

0:46 @@PhillipBridges-cr1ns good luck going over thresholds. I lost count of the times we had to go to a emergency move where the customer had tried using pipe, golf balls, and every other crazy moving " hack" on the internet. They ended up paying double the price for a emergency. I saw people do damage to expensive wood floors because they tried some crazy moving techniques.

5:18 nice, I have a type 98 just like that as well. It's not a machine made wartime blade though, you can just barely make out a hamon and pattern welding, so it was probably an old blade with new fittings. Got it super cheap at a gun show because they thought it was a plain old NCO sword.

Mother of God, I think that dolly is going to be in your family atleast a couple of centuries. I haven't enjoyed a KZbin video this much since my botched spinal fusion surgery 6 year's ago. I wish I had seen this video about 24 year's ago when I got 60÷ friends to donate $25- a head for one of our best friends 40th B-day. I use to be a personal chef so the donations I got included dinner and we got him the Lincoln 48 by Liberty Safe. I wanted to get him the Presidential but the only one I found in my area had a sold sign on it that Don King had purchased and never picked it up. I actually ran into him at a Suntrust Bank several mos later and reminded him about it still being at CK's Lockshop and Security in Boynton Beach FL. Don's hair almost lost it's spike's when he realized what I had told him and was surprisingly appreciative. I almost said something about him putting the screws to Mike but refrained. Anyways the suprise B-day was a massive success and I'm sure my buddy Brendan will never forget and his grandchildren will be even happier. Sorry for the long comment but your video brought me down memory lane and I'm enjoying it. I'm stoked I ran across your video and you definitely blew me away with your talent making doilies but I also noticed your knifes and I can't wait to explore your channel. It took us 4 guy's to get B's safe in his man cave and my back has never forgotten that move.
