Man this is so amazing, I rode passed this 1000s of times and never would have imagined this was once rolled here from another location.

Can't place this house. It is very familiar. Is it at the end of baseline?

Our family experienced a similar situation. Our house was located behind San Bernardino Valley College on Scott St. SBVC wanted to extend their campus so they paid the whole block to relocate so using that same method our house was moved to Colton this was in 1960

I believe my friend's family lived in this house in the 1970's and early 80s. Last name was Isberts. I grew up not far from this house.

Very interesting ! My home 2.1 miles from this houses present location was also moved back in 1940 but I'm not sure where from ? There was alot going on construction wise houses being built others being moved. Great piece of film , History lives on !

Of course, I looked up the address of this house. Still beautiful. Estimated value today is almost 1.4 million. Was the original address in Los Angeles? If it was that address with house on it now is 2.7 million.

Why did they move it? The reason I ask in the late 1960-70s my family would buy these houses that where the SB210/330 was built at 30th st to Hst and towards waterman ave they sold those homes and my grandmother had property in Colton and had two home moved from the construction of the crosstown fwy to her property! It’s funny because we were at a friends house in the ‘80s that didn’t get demolished or affected from the build had the same layout as my grandmothers house in Colton! It was from the same tract from that neighborhood. My mom bought one she later sold with property in Berdoo.

These folks must have been loaded coming out of the Great Depression; a very nice house. Where exactly is this?

They were the Owners of the Harris Department store in San Bernardino, so yes, they were loaded! 😅

It's still there, they added to it when they moved it and it's now in a neighborhood of million dollar homes.

Better location I guess, and added on rooms. It's in an expensive neighborhood today.
