The moving average crossover pullback strategy. www.financial-spread-betting.c... PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! This is a 1 hourly chart / currency pairs. This is a trend trading setup and you can use it on forex pairs, or indices/commodities or high market cap stocks. The point with this is that we're looking to get on a trend (moving average crossover) at the sweetest spot. The problem with the moving average crossover trade is that its very lagging; often by the time you get the moving average crossover you are going to be quite late in the move. (and if you use a shorter term moving average you will get loads of signals). So how to overcome these challenges? Let's add another layer; we'll wait for the confirmation of the filter of the moving average crossover then wait for a pullback and then use another indicator to time the trend. I'm trying this on a 1 hourly chart (although you can use a higher timeframe, maybe a daily would work). I'm using a 100 period SMA and a 200 period SMA and a 14 RSI.
Rules:
When the 100 SMA is greater than the 200 SMA (cross)
Long when RSI moves up from oversold.

Love this1😍 Im using wma5,20,50 and stoch. Feel them close, after cross im waiting for that swing- pullback with right candle that shows level now is respected then off we go very reliabe strategy great with r&r ratio , helps with correct entry level, show when to continue or exit and come back in, where does levels are, even with analysis when scaning the market, before we do any drawings its shows on what stage market is , is it breakout, pullback, rejection, continuation ... great great tool no doubt , for me better when using 4h to line up then impuls legs are longer, on 1h swing will be first then pullback after swing to teel us whats next pulling 4h behind when them2 time frames lining up profits are greater same as 1d , thanks to this setup i catched nzd-usd about 3 week fall in the right time compliting all targets, perfectly catched euraud or audcad yesterday and many many more;)) worth to play with

I tested it and found that if the trend is up, the RSI will never go oversold unless trend reverses and vise versa. I found more consistency and opportunities if the trend is up, pullback will bring RSI to below 50 then back up, vise versa for down trend

This strategy sounds good on paper but in reality once the MAs cross into a strong trend the RSI will rarely pull back into 'OB/OS' areas. In fact in a strong trend the RSI will not even pullback past the 50 level.

When the trend is starting, especially using fairly slow 100, 200 SMA... RSI DOES NOT go into oversold... but instead overbought

100 & 200 SMA are to high for 1hr. I trade this strategy very profitably but i use 50 and 20 EMA and no oscillator. Strategy needs patience and sniper mentality 👍🏾
