I’m planning a move back in April after 12 years in Japan. I’m going through the process of getting things done for my family as well.

Good video. One note -- I think in Ontario, it takes six months to get OHIP (healthcare) back.

I had decided to move back from teaching in Europe in 2019 in my first 3 months I decided not to give up my teaching contract for 2019-20 school year and returned. Covid came I attempted to try again in 2020 but it was worse. I'm not giving up, though. Maybe do a video on driver's license. Since I've been away for a while my Ontario license became an E.U for car insurance purposes and purchasing a car. Steps we need to do to get our Ontario back, without going to G1.

I would add that if you are thinking of bringing your car back to Canada, especially from the States, be aware of any regulations around export declarations, emissions requirements, converting instrumentation to metric, and so on. It may or not be worth it. Doubly so if your model is not available in Canada, and therefore not in government or insurance systems.
