Adapt and overcome. While I didn’t like the fan wall and was actively looking for a new glass panel to replace, the breeze on hot days was awesome. Yeah it was hard to keep the floor clean when going in and out all the time. I just ended up using the step well as a shoe removal area 😂

Hey Matthew, just a thought , for the wall of fans by the bed, try going to a thrift shop, get a king sized wool blanket/shipping blanket and cover that whole area, then cover it again with a couple of shower curtains to keep the draft controlled. You could put a layer of reflectix over the wall of fans and then a temporary board up over them for the rest of the winter. Insulates and keeps the fan wall until you decide if you want it permanently 🤙. Could AMA not tow lucky that night and leave her parked at the garage ready for the morning?

That issue with starting looks more like either an earth issue or starter relay? Starters click. Either that or a faulty switch when in park.

Mathew....we share the same van.....I have had the same issue...it turned out to be a bad ground between the frame and batter and body. I had to clean and or replace ground cables to make 1000% sure the system worked correctly. The starter can be tested using just a 12 volt battery once it's off engine to see if it spins and also the solenoid jumps forward.....Before you spend the big bucks on a new starter. But I expect by the time you see this you will have had it repaired....?

ive sorta the same setup with the standing fan and fire.... its great, warms up the front room more gradually than just mainly roasting in front and the areas outside the scope staying cold for longer. my little toe is taped up, i broke it the other week.

I think that's the dirtiest I've seen Grace in a very long time, but traveling in snow from what I remember 46 or 47 years ago makes ones vehicle pretty narnar. Good gravy it's been so long since I lived in Minnesota. I was going to say snow too but I can't say that now since we got 5 inches of snow that's still on the ground and frozen after a lil bit of rain. This Florida lady isn't all that enthused about snow so my heater is now my favorite thing in my world right now. Be careful walking around in your Crocks in the snow. no starter cranking diagnosis starts with making sure all connections are clean & tight, from batt to starter motor, ur batt connections can be tight, but if never cleaned up in years, that alone can end up with a click for starting, even when batt seems ok otherwise

My Dad had a truck that the wire to starter would short out at the starter (not sure why but he had to replace that wire a few times.

Hey Matt, I used to warm that other half a can of cat food (meat puck) in the microwave for about 5 seconds, then test it with a finger to make sure it's not too hot. Best of luck Man, you got this!

You should get a power probe. It'll shoot power or ground into anything. A starter and a relay are prime uses as well as checking fuses, power and ground. You could have shot fire to that starter instantly. The relay, you needed a Jumper wire to complete the cycle. If it was the relay, Jumper wire will start it.

Hint, where the battery is in the engine bay is the side where the starter is. This hint will cover any rear wheel drive vehicle. This is do to cable length from battery cables. The longer the distance between battery and starter the larger the cable needs to be.

Protect your back and your toe - in the winter, send it to the mechanic. They can diagnose in the nice warm shop. I think there maybe shops for rent too so you could get Lucky warmed up while you more comfortably diagnose and treat (fix) her. While you are shifting things around and keeping eye on 3 vehicles in the cold, maybe renting a parking space for a week would help hen you don’t have to worry about moving everything and places towing you and if lucky and indoors or outside with shore power will also allow you to more easily get all the batteries charged and kept warm.

Dude,ur fuse wont blow,while ur van is sitting in a snow bank. Try boost 1st. Make sure ur boost cables have good connect. Double check. Then give starter a good whack. Fire up gunny,hook that new battery charger to it. Most have a quick start option. 100 it's battery, bad ground,something like that

If you buy Big Fella I think you could build a new table to convert the benches to a big. I know that stater problem has been taken care of by now but do you know how to short across your starter solenoid? The fact that you don't hear a click makes me suspicious of the solenoid.
