Nice wee vlog, thank you Some of those Charollais rams from down at Cust would lead to heavy early lambs out of your old ewes. Mr ANZCO loves them!😏

Ewes looking good Tups look powerful Tonnes of feed Living the dream I’m feeding lambs on stubble turnips....they almost coming too big....48-50kg about £120/head Enjoyed the video,thanks🙂

That's a good size lamb. You happy with that kind of money?
@markmeredith55212 жыл бұрын
It’s a good sized lamb but they now don’t want anything bigger than 44kg. Before Xmas they couldn’t get the lambs big enough ( when I didn’t have any!) The price is ok as I bought the lambs for £85 a couple of months ago. They just have turnips, salt blocks and hay in racks. Who knows how this war thing plus recent shipping problems will effect it. It always seems when the price gets good they find a way to collapse the market!

Yea Its almost like as soon as people see farmers getting ok price for their stock the costs increase and not far away. Good work on the turnip crop, We are going to be selling everything at weaning to get a break over summer, starting next year.

Certainly more grass at the Lease Block than at tailing and early summer. Great to see.

I know the red clover has got a bit strong now but have you ever tried baling and wrapping some as winter feed Alistair

We have in the past. I've got that paddock saved for the lambs once they finish the kale and plantain

Just wondering how many ewes you had running with the 4 rams?
