I think swing trading is less dangerous than day trading

I day trade and swing trade. I’m equally good at losing money at both

I moved from day trading to swing trading due to me having a stressful full-time job. A year on, I'm more consistent, profitable and enjoying my trading so much that I've just quit the aforementioned job. It's been a hell of a journey and yet this feels like it's only the beginning. BTW, this channel has given me some great insights along my quest for profitability, cheers for that.

I moveed out from daytrading/scalping because anxiety. Needed months of forwardtesting but was totally worth. Now i can sleep better and spend time on backtesting to improve the system.

I much prefer the switch to swing trading. Gives you ample time to review the technicals. Being more patient on entry.

Yup! I’m doing mix of day/swing trading both, depending on opportunity.

This was Jesse Livermore's "aha" moment: the big money is in the big swing. Not piking for individual fluctuations. 'You do not get rich taking a 4-point profit in a bull market'.

For me it depends what the market actually is doing, i am concentrating on one market at a time. When the market is ranging then it is more like a day trading, when the market is trending, then it is more a swing trade.

Ha ha.., I agree on that “urge to close positions”. I’ve exited much sooner a lot of times.

A good cricket player can play all formats - test, one-day, T20. So should the stock trader, use daytrading, swing trading, longterm buy and hold investing, as appropriate. Never box yourself into something. Be flexible and make the most of what the market offers.

My reason is emotional highs and lows due to day-trading that’s affected my health, hence moved to Swing trading. I’m making same kind of money. But my only concern is taxes now

My trading experience is not so good with day trading for past almost 6 months. There were months when I was green but mostly the big loss on other months. I did everything right as per my setup and still end of the day was on red. However swing trading is going good so far for past 2 months. In a big green like I have been never before. This could be due to the current bull market but I am happy with the results as of now and will see in the future how it goes. But thanks for your videos - I am following them for a long time now and very inspiring. 👍

Swing Trading works better for me, day trading I often times had my entry right, but would pull out too early... missed out on much gains had I just bought... set my trailing stop and relaxed... dug myself a big hole in June and July... but switched my strategy up and almost back in the green. Day trading with a full time job (work from home at the time) was extremely stressful and I made many mistakes (felt rushed) all the time because of the job. Swing trading allows me to still be in the market, while not needing to sit at the screen all day.

Well i have no edge another trader wouldn't have. And you have to make 10% a week, in order to have x 100 at the end of the year.

I only need one hour to make my target I’ll never swing trade again

I prefer to to do my swings on options trades. Yes there is decay which makes it quite harder but the longer my position is in the market the more risk i take and i don’t like the no stoploss possibility. It can hurt you badly on gaps. With options i know that i have a set risk. I could use a gtc order but they don’t trigger pre and post market. What’s your take on that
