I’ve lived with my partner for years, but we recently moved house together which heightened my anxiety. We’re definitely navigating our different expectations, especially since my anxiety can make me need to feel in control of everything. I know they try really hard to understand my anxiety, and I try to let things go when I can, but sometimes they just don’t get it and we both end up frustrated. I wonder if you have experienced anything similar? Anyway, love the orange! It looks stunning with the wooden mantle and all the plants.

My boyfriend and I sleep in separate bed and if we didn’t our relationship probably wouldn’t last. He is a thrasher in his sleep too and he talks in his sleep and snores and I have insomnia. He also goes to sleep at like 2am and I go to bed at 10pm. Having separate bedrooms is a relationship saver but I felt weird about it at first too.

My grandparents have slept in seperate bedrooms for nearly 30+ years now and have been happily married for over 60 years 😊

I am sooooo anxious because ive lived like 25 years w my parents, and now my mom is on her own with my siblings and im engaged. My mom needs me a lot around the house bcz of her health and im sooo attached to her that im like is marrying even worth it. Im so scared of the unknown and going to live with someone else and maybe clash w a lot of things that might seem normal or not normal for me and otherwise for him. I feel like im gonna put myself jn a disaster cause i just cannot take change well. What do i do😢 we got our first rental home and im so anxious that its getting real

this is so helpful. i'm about to move in with my partner and sometimes our anxiety can amplify one another's, and i was feeling worried about how to manage those moments when so much of our spaces will be shared. i also have more severe anxiety than my partner and this video has helped normalized that for me. thank you so much!

Do you have any videos you'd recommend for the anxious type partner? My boyfriend is a lot like you in that he often needs space, but I'm the opposite. I'm trying to find tips on how to be ok with things like not being around each other all the time in the same house. We sleep separately a lot due to our animals and my work schedule, and it is something that does bother me so I'm trying to make peace with things like that
