Tell your friend to break in her mattress by walking on it or jumping on it! I had the same thing happen to me, bought a $500 mattress and cried the first night sleeping on it. Felt nothing like it did in the store. Called to complain and they explained if you buy a more firm mattress you need to break it in like shoes. My dad spent a whole weekend stepping all over it. It’s amazing now
