I thought this too. Our home is almost the same size. I love it. And I don't feel the need to get a bigger house which is all the rage now. We lack closet space. But sometimes you just have to get creative.

Binge watching videos while on quarantine and you're so right. Finally a house I can relate to, and not feel like I'm missing out on having a big custom made house with tons of space and storage. For me, at this point in time, in this crazy world, less is best. I've had to get creative with space, and it's actually been a fun challenge. I've been enjoying this channel lately, so down to earth.

You should put cute baskets above your cabinets for storing stuff you don’t react for often! That’s what I do. I just make sure to dust regularly and wash the stuff before we use it. Like I keep lunch boxes and water bottles and my thanksgiving baking dishes, etc we don’t have much stuff and we still have to much lol

I don't have alot of storage in my house either and i don't have a pantry, i use the bottom cabinets to store snacks and i got turn table organizers from amazon for my canned stuff. i would suggest getting baskets and taking things out of the boxes because they take up alot of room

But I think that your pantry cabinet door, and bottom two drawers under that same cabinet were put on just a wee bit crooked. At first I thought it was just the wide angle view, but then you were right infront of it speaking, and I knew for sure. That is the ONE thing I HATE about myself and wish I could change. I, for some crazy reason, see everything. You may have even fixed it by now since you made this a year ago. It's an absolutely GORGEOUS house, and you've done SO MUCH to it already. Oh my goodness , my previous comment Was made before I finished watching your video. I watched it in sections because you know, life happens. Your emotions are your blessing coming thru. God is good. Your home is going to be beautiful and full of happiness! You have such a big space between your kitchen, dining and living room. You know u could take out that little bar area and add an island in your kitchen with cabinets for more storage. It would open up your whole space. 😊

Also, a pantry idea for extra storage; if you have room in the dining room go to walmart and get a cube organizer shelf! They are great for that purpose! You can get super cute baskets and such, or even hang a curtain in front to disguise everything.

Yeah we have a leaky basement, windows that need to be replaced and stress cracks that need to be repaired, but with every improvement we make it’s starting to feel more and more like our home. We have been here for 4 years and there is still so much we need to check off the to do list. Home ownership is not for the faint of heart lol. We bought a home and still live paycheck to paycheck. Thankful for the first time home buyers loan that made it possible.

Another idea would be to get some white baskets to store overflow pantry food in and put on top of cabinets...like Costco bulk items.🥰 Also...I came across a hutch that was redone and I took a picture but I can’t figure out how to send it to you🤷🏻‍♀️ any idea??? My husband and I install dishwashers, microwaves, water heaters for a living. If it’s not draining and you have a garbage disposal make sure the installers knocked out the part where the dishwasher will drain properly. What is going on with it?

It works it's just not draining and its brand new so there shouldn't be any food or anything blocking it . And it's not even pushing water into the pipes if that makes since lol

BudgetFam make sure that they turned the valve back on after they installed it but if there’s water that’s not the issue. Make sure they knocked out the knockout so it will drain. Have your hubby to take the drain hose off under the sink and you can tell right there. Always #2 issues with new installs and kitchen makeovers. Hope I have helped ❤️

You’ve probably already thought of this but the space on either side of your kitchen window might be perfect for a little bit of open shelving for extra storage. The space on the left for sure. I can’t believe how quickly you got all of that unpacked!

We just moved 3 months ago and still when I pull in the driveway I have to pinch myself and remind myself that this is my house and I’m not renting someone else’s house. Love the ending. I can feel your emotions so much and I can relate. My husband and I can finally see the American Dream happening for us. We can almost taste how close it's becoming. We have never thought it would be a reality (we've struggled for years). We are in our 40's and have 6 kids (13, 8, 6, 4 (twins) and 4 months. It's taken so many years of struggle and we truly believed it'd never happen for us (while it has for people many years younger). But in February we should be in position to buy our very first home and out of our rental forever by summer. Wishing your family all the best. Love seeing notifications from your videos pop up (I love the longer ones)! I watch while I'm feeding my baby.
