Moving My Helix 7 To The Casting Deck

Wanted to do some bigger upgrades on my Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW but the current state of the financial world has forced me into poor man upgrades and re-purposing what I already have. Currently I have 2 fish finders at the helm and decided to move my Humminbird Helix 7 to the front deck so I can see my depth and structure since I spend so much time up there.

Did you check the amps on that power wire before you spliced in the 3amp ? Or does it not matter because the unit will only draw 3 amps so you could use a power wire that has let's say 10 amps and you just tap into it for the 3 amp inline fuse ?

I never checked the amps on the power wire. Figured it was a low draw anyways. I ended up putting another fuse at the battery. Had a person suggest doing that so I did.

What did you put on the trolling motor ?

Hi. I mounted the transducer with a Minn Kota trolling motor bracket. Installation was easy. I did make a video on the install of that as well. Thanks for watching.

My new 175 TXW just showed up in my driveway. Can't wait to take it up North to the cottage. I enjoyed your video. My first upgrade will be to add another unit up front maybe the Helix 7. Thanks, now I know what to expect when I get in that hull.
