I have to agree! I'm not an ocean guy either but I've been following the build for 10 years. I'm definitely a hands on kind of guy, even to the point of trying to get kids to take on a trade through either my business (which I no longer have) or through the auto shop classes I use to run one day a week at the local high school. I sooooo believe in giving things a go, often learning things the hard way, but learning none the less. Thanks for going to the effort you did to help & document it all. Cheers from Australia!!

they likely only needed the 3rd lift axle for specific areas, the wheel base would have spread weight out better than a single tandem axle truck so they likely didnt need it down the whole time

Yeah, that whole series had terrible seat brackets, but I don't care enough to tear it apart and rebuild it. The door panel is gone because it's a work truck, passenger seat is also missing entirely so I can haul 12' material inside it. Passengers get the chauffeur treatment in the only other seat: behind the driver.

Hi Rich, I came over from SV seeker when Doug gave you a plug; haven't seen you before, but I will in the future - I subscribed just now. The best point of the video was the safety briefing and the tractor change. Obviously planed and rehearsed hands on - it went like a military OP. But what makes it a true military OP is that everyone was briefed and knew the mission and what was supposed to happen when the stuff hit the fan. As we say, its great plan until you cross the line of departure, what happens after it proves it. You'all proved it, Thanks
