Moving the Baby Bettas || Fish Fan Friday Vlog

Ah..my little babies are growing up T_T Time flies so fast.. So as they are getting bigger the 5 gal tank is starting to get overcrowded. The babies need more space so they can grow and be healthy. I decided, that instead of moving them all at once..I will move only the larger ones..and then later move the smaller ones as well. This will allow me to feed them separately and let the smaller ones catch up on growth.

Walmart use to sell long grow lights in a case with a switch for ten dollars I’ve had mine or ten years and they still work great. In the light bulb section there for house plants

Brian Orr Yeppers, I wanted to know how/where she came up with that. In fact, since it's all the same kind, I'd say letting it grow unabated on the walls actually contributes to the problem.

There is a limited amount of nutrients for the algae to feed off. If you have a good colony on the walls, they will absorb most of it.

Hi Kasha, have some questions about breeding my bettas. how often do you have to breed your females to keep them healthy? Can you breed a male with fin damage after they got in a fight. one of my males broke down the divider and beat up the male i keep as a pet and wanted a baby from when he passes.

Thanks so much for the pep talk in the begining. I set up my first ever aquarium (10 gallons) a little over a week ago! I'm so new to everything! I don't have any fish yet, it's going to be a tank for just plants for a while...I'm still figuring everything out. I'm not sure what is normal & what isn't lol. Also, are the floating plants (not the duckweed) you have water lettuce? I got some dwarf water lettuce online since I don't have a LFS but it looks a little different from what you have.

I need some betta advice- today i rescued a dumbo half moon betta from Petsmart and i'm certain he has swim bladder disease, but i'm beginning to get some what worried because he is not eating anything i give him, no peas, nothing! Heya! Bettas can go up to a week or so without food, so don't worry! Also, I wouldn't recommend using peas as a solution as bettas are strictly meat eaters, frozen daphnia may help. I recommend joining some betta groups on Facebook. Good luck! :)

You should get marbled crayfish. They are asexual( meaning instead of needing a partner they produce exact clones of themselves) theyre pretty cool but they are mostly herbivores so dont put plants with them

depends on the betta. Some hate anything being added to "their" tank and will attack and kill tank mates. Snails do better since they have a shell to protect them but I have heard stories of bettas flipping them over and killing them or constantly biting off and eating their eyestalks.

My betta attacked my snail, ended up stressing it out so much it died. I can't keep any other fish in with him either, he attacked my bristlenose pleco. Some bettas are just more aggressive than others.

Rafael Tavarez all bettas are different. Sometimes they can never be with other bettas, while other times they can.
