JC, now you have to purchase some center drills to use for hole location, then switch to an annular cutter. The holes are cleaner and don't load the drill as hard. They drill a lot quicker than using a Silver and Deming type bit, and don't leave a large burr. I use a strap on my Milwaukee corded mag drill, and hang it from a cherry picker, so in the event that the drill grabs or loses power, the drill won't hit the ground.

I am looking for a parking brake like that for a Dana Spicer rear end on a project I am building. Any chances you could get manufacturers name off your unit so that I can contact them and see if they make one for my rear end? Good idea on that little 'story poll stick' for marking bolt holes! Think play in magdrill is on chuck adapter, maybe if you had gone with annular cutter (rotabroach) bit that play may have gone away. Lot harder to center holes using 'rotabroach; though.

Mag drill is worth every penny and cordless too, I was surprised to see that it's cordless, how long does the bettery last you when your doing a lot of drilling like this? You make it look like a piece of cake JC, I guess when you have done it enough times it is like second nature. So did the gradall move on to a new home? I would think it didnt seeing it is in the video ( Unless this was shot a while ago ) ,Mrs JC works the Gradall controls pretty well she looks like she has it down pat. And your nag on way easier to cut then add, I always say to people I would rather be over rather then under especially when it comes to the metals
@j.c.smithprojects6 жыл бұрын
i have drilled 2 whole trucks on one charge. no the gradall is at the shop where it will likely still be until my last days. she can operate the machine quite well. i figure he can always cut off the extra....it may take him a little time but i am sure it is less than it would be to add some frame.
@screamindemon8116 жыл бұрын
Two trucks on one charge, now that is impressive, I would have thought with the heavy drilling it would wear down batteries quicker but damn that is decent for a cordless battery
