Yeah for real. I had to go to college I got out of the aquarium hobby for 3 years and I just got back in a couple weeks ago thought I check back up with the fish KZbinrs I used to watch and wow Joey is doing awesome. Happy for you bro! And yeah I can’t believe how much Darius has grown he was like 12 inches shorter last time lol. I think that was when he got a flower horn or something like that.

I absolutely love, that you've taken into consideration, using sand for bottom feeding fish. It's softer on their bellies and easier to sift through. My bottom feeders love living in sand.

When youre moving a fish that could literally stop your heart id think the best option would be the one with the fewest steps😂 taking it in and out of a bucket gives you a higher chance of messing up and getting shocked... so joey did good

9:30- if we think of those who work with electricity they use a type of rubber glove, so would those help when transferring an electric eel in the case of them possibly jumping out of the net and you need to rangle them back in. Just for safety...

Bucket with lid to avoid temp shock running outside as the water will act as a temp "buffer" and avoid dropping him is the way a would personnaly go but what works works and it's easier to avoid touching him the way you did

Awesome setup as usual the bricks are cool on camera they look real. But you need a dimmer light and some low light sword plants for the tank he would look phenomenal in a darker lit tank.. with some greenery

I would have had a bucket /tote with water in it the right size to: Net the eel, place eel net and all into container carried to the new tank then just left net and eel and put in tank. This would have eliminated any cold air from hitting the eel and the eel would have still been in water except for the two pick up moments.

Could you put water from the tank he's going into in a bucket, then net him from his tank and put him in the bucket ? That way, you could just tip him from the bucket into his new tank

Bad planning on the transfer. You should've had gloves on in case it jumped out of the net because you'd need to put it back in by grabbing it somehow or push it back into the net. Also, your son should've put the towel over the top of the net when you lifted that part out, while the fish was still in the water. You should've gone over the plan, and made contingencies in case of problems.

I think the last video i remember him being in was when you all went on vacation.. which i think was also when we first saw Tamara.. he may have made a quick cameo in another video.. but jeez!
