I would suggest using fully manual settings on your camera. If you lock settings (aperture/iso/shutter speed) it will eliminate the flickering of brightness in your timelapses as your camera auto-adjusts. Also longer shutter speeds (1-5 seconds) will create smooth motion, clouds/cars/etc will look more fluid.

Time lapse with taking photos instead of recording video. More freedom to edit, slow process but totally worth it and more detail as well. Cheapest 4K video way for those who don't have an 4K camera. Even compared to 4K cameras there is more detail in taking pics, editing freedom as well so the photos can look epic!

I don’t know if you have try miops capsule 360... it’s as genie mini... on the iPhone, it is possible to use the miops only as a rotating base, inserting how many degrees it has to go around and the video time, and use the iPhone X timelapse app? because using the miops app, if I choose basic timelapse, it does not show me the live video, to know in which position to stop the smartphone for the right shot. Even third-party apps show the image live. Unfortunately, it is not clear from the instructions how to use it. And it just served me as a rotating base primarily.

In the canyon shoot there is that problem with the flashing, i had the same problem. Pretty sure it's to do with light balance or something. the more you have your settings adjusted manually, the more smooth the time lapse will be

The flickering is from keeping your setting in "auto" white balance. Most common mistake in time lapse photography.

Hey man I recommend you the "hyperlapse" app for I phone it's free and basicelly you shoot something and afterwards you play it back and select the speed you want the playback to be and also what's cool is that it stabilises your footage, I've done pretty decent hyperlapses handheld with it.

This kit looks cool! For a real budget alternative use a wide angle lens (or GoPro) then in edit zoom in and get it to pan across. I've done that on a few of my videos. But this kit will give you a lot better results / wider ranges of course!

I've been using the Contour GPS and Contour Roam in the continouous photo mode, then using QuickTime Pro to create the timelapse. But the files are way to big. Recently I picked up,the Mobius Dash cam for stupid cheap $75 and one of the settings is timelapse, with the ability to choose multiple different shoot times. Timelapse looks great, smaller file and one less step of running it through QT. Unfortunatly, I need to use Windows PC to make any camera settings on the Mobius.

My only issue with this, and other time-lapse tools like it, are that you are very limited to a specific style...I would rather do timelapses (or hyper lapses) that rotate around a specific subject, as opposed to the camera itself rotating, however it is MUCH more work in post. (I will be trying this out soon)
