I was also very sceptical with this rope. But the fact you can mount this one on any slider is pretty smart!

Question on the vertical weight limit on the genie one. It states it can suipport 3.3 lbs in vertical, have you tested its weight limit, and how about say 45 degree angle ? A mirrorless camera with a 24-70 2.8 puts you at about 4 pounds and then another pound if you are running the genie mini 2 pan and tilt combo with it.

I just finished a two axis night to day with Syrp and Timelapse + View. I’m recording a tutorial on post processing. I have a video on setting up 3 axis with the Timelapse+ View for ramping on my YT channel.

Sounds great! Will check it out, I still haven't used the TLV+ :D

@@MatthewVandeputte it does a great job ramping day to night or in reverse. I believe (I may be wrong) but you will need a Mini 1 (original) to hook sync cable to the Genie. You have the original genie and it doesn’t have Bluetooth so need to use the mini to sync. The Mini 2 has a different input (2.5 instead of 3.5 plug). I put the mini 1 on top of genie on slider then a Mini 2 on the vertical axis (tilt) and that plugs to Aux 2 on Timelapse+ View. So when on the app on smart phone the pan and linear show as one connection then tilt as second. When you go to create the desired motion you use the Keyframe creator on app. The Syrp then controls interval and Timelapse+ View controls the exposure and ramps it.

Hey Matthew, I've spent lots of time trying to get my brand new syrp genie one to connect to an iphone(six different phones and 2 ipads actually) and it keeps failing the required update. Can I download the FW and install it manually or something? Would love any help as I've bought this for a client and I need it to work for them but sadly the product is completely unusable out of the box. Got any tips?

Pretty Interesting. I've used the geni mini but never seen anything on their rails. Looks pretty cool.

The slider function is interesting. Regarding the Syrp product lines stiff price points the upcoming BenroPolaris might be an alternativ. Your thoughts about the BenroPolaris would be appreciated.

Hey thanks for the very good explanation; so can we use the syrp also with the gopro to add nice motion? i know there is no way to connect the gopro with a sync cable but maybe you can set this in video mode and then make the timelapse?

Great video! Hard to find deep dives like these on Syrp products. How fast can you push the interval on these systems?

Haven't tried that yet but will be making a follow up video in a while!

Sweet tutorial! I love Syrp stuff!! I've got the pan and tilt and linear thing and a not carbon fibre magic carpet slider!! I can't wait to futz around with the timelapse mode!! I'm also trying to figure out how to hook Syrp stuff into Dragonframe 4 so I can do some camera moves in my stop motion stuff!! Oh and I picked up a cool Time Warper hat too! 🧢 😎

The noise on that Mini II is unacceptable. No idea how they thought that was a good idea.
