Just waiting for my wifes Montana nursing licence to come in and we will be moving to billings area. takes time since we're in BC Canada. we've checked all the states with a few exceptions and Montana seems to be the best fit. Love the scenery the climate and from what I've seen the people.

As a Virginian living just 20 minutes south of DC on a good day, I've considered moving somewhere slightly more mountainous, but not entirely remote or void of civilization. Initially, the tip of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia had my attention, but Montana just has this charm about it that I can't explain. I really have to visit the state one of these days, not to mention it would be the furthest West I had ever traveled before. #oroyplata

Been thinking of moving the fam to Lockwood, or somewhere around billings. I want to live in a pro freedom, pro 2nd state. Born in Los Angeles, moved to a more ride sided area 16 years ago, Riverside. The problem is it's still in California. Don't worry Montana if we do move , niether me nor my family vote blue lol.

Thanks for tuning in! Internet depends on where. Right in Billings Spectrum services and they do have a package up to 200mbps I believe. I work from home a lot while my kids are streaming a ton of devices and I don’t have any issues! I think once you start going out of town the internet providers are different and the speeds wouldn’t be as fast.

There’s definitely some homeless population here, but nothing like I’ve seen in other cities. I often see it around the downtown area because that’s where resources are but I know a new homeless center will be opening soon by a non profit.

I’ve never had to use public transportation but I see it around everywhere. It looks like there are many bus stops. You can check out info here www.ci.billings.mt.us/259/MET-Transit I see Uber and Lyft drivers everywhere. The state fair starts today and it’s typically this same time every august. About the 2nd-3rd week. I have never lived in an apartment here but there are different options. If you Google “Billings apartments” the map will pop up with different places. I recommend getting on Facebook Billings classifieds group and you can find out a lot about apartment living from people with experience at a specific location!
