I am a native of Columbia. Went to the old Whitthorne junior high and the old Central High School. Went to Mule Day every year and participated in the parade. I live in Georgia now but I miss Columbia!

Columbia is a sweet town that still house the small town feeling that so many want. I went to Mule Day myself many times and really plan to go again this coming year… I hope it hasn’t changed!

I’m a native also, graduated CHS in 1959. We used to frequent the Fountain Drive In, Bam’s Corral, and the drive-in movie. We live in South Carolina now. Always try to make it back for high school reunions.

Brantley Gilbert's "what happens in a small town" music video was filmed at the town square. As well as Cannon Smith "Love you like that".

I live in Columbia and my roots are traced back here for over 200 years. You were correct, Columbia was the richest city in all of Tennessee before the War of 1861-1865. There are more Antebellum mansions here than all of TN put together. I wish you had shown W6th Street with all its Mansions. The South and Western portion and downtown are the loveliest parts of town. Prices here have climbed up about $100k per year per house the last 2 years, so if you plan to move here the median house is around $300k at the low end and $450 K being the middle. It is a peaceful, quiet, wonderful old downtown place. We have homes up to $15 Million here at the present time. Come see us and delight in downtown and the West End side of town. Columbia is a family friendly city with friendly loving Churches on every corner! W 7th Church was founded in 1820 and is a warm, loving place with families of all ages all working together to make the community a welcoming place and to build Strong Families who love the Lord. Come see us soon!
