Excellent explanation of the different islands - I have been to 3 of the 4 major major islands and fully agree. Going to #4 later this year.

Had to LOL about the plumbing on the Big Island. Most of the places we are looking at are catchment and septic. On the south end you might be more likely to get high speed internet than HELCO. My in-laws house is still on a cesspool and it’s probably not feasible to upgrade. My wife was born and raised on the Big Isle and she actually left because of “cabin fever”, which is hilarious because we hardly ever leave the house here in Texas. Also loved the reference to Texas. The two main exceptions is the Insane property taxes in Texas and the “attitude”. Which is about the opposite of that on the Big Isle.

Great video brother. Plan on moving to HI in a few years when I get out of the military. Just need to figure out which island. I think the big island would be best for me. But I like kuai a lot as well.

I just applied for a job at a resort on the island of Lanai, Hi which I heard is a very nice Island and peaceful. Btw people on the mainland have the same problem as Hawaii does when it comes to active volcanoes. We do have a couple of them in Yellowstone National Park and you got to consider Washington State have Mount Rainier and St Helen which is also active volcanoes.

Except that we are limited as to where and how we can escape too. We are on a rock in the middle of the ocean. We are screwed because the infrastructure on roads here, SUCKS. If ML goes toward Kona or Waikoloa, it’s going to be a cluster F and that is not being dramatic!!

One thing you didn't mention about the big island is cesspools and septic tanks. From what I've read, outside of a few areas in Kona, most of the houses have cesspools or septic tanks. Also, as a real estate agent, you should know that there's a HUGE difference in average prices of homes in Wailuku compared to Wailea. One more thing, you didn't mention Princeville in Kauai. Some people may appreciate the Garden Island but may also want resort style living of Princeville.

Ha ha, Maui and Kauai are the best islands in the State of Hawaii. Also, Hawaii is NOT it's own country, it is a State which is on fact part of our country, the United States of America. With that being said, we can say whatever we want to, to whoever we wish while i'm in Hawaii, because of our beloved 1st Amendment. We do not need to research Hawaii'a history and do not need to be respectful go the savage natuves there. This is America, people need to realize that and free speech is 100% protected by law as long as it a person is not making a direct threat to physical harm someone and/or their property.
