Always learn something New about you Brighton, I also spent a little time in Atlanta, GA it was quite a few years ago when my favorite cousin was living there, and I went back to spend time with her. It is so interesting how we all tend to move around, and I think Mexico is a nice mix of that European feel when it comes to some Architecture in larger cities, but a completely different vibe with the cultural aspects. Thank you for bringing these stories from so many people on how they land in Mexico.

Thanks Enrique. I haven’t been to this area for 20 years. But I’ve heard it’s still gorgeous (but more developed.)

There is NO City or Village in Nayarit called Riviera Nayarit. Riviera Nayarit covers 200 miles of coastline ❗

Correct - they didn't want to talk about the town they live in. I may have edited that a bit strangely to keep out the town name.

Once again a grrrr8 piece on moving. Both, a bit scary and informative. The part of being over prepared and paying taxes" through the nose" for personal items was cause to take notice. PS I hope the trip went well (or is going well) P n D

If you handle your immigration paperwork in the proper order, you get a one-time exemption from bringing in household items. Just gotta finish your immigration process before bringing in the items. Not everyone follows the rules at the border anyway...
@davebaker48924 күн бұрын
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico Yes ... My point exactly. Also crossing where it is Not busy might be problematic. The last thing you need is a bored border guard.
@AlmostRetiredinMexico22 күн бұрын
@@davebaker489 You're right. You need to find the proper mix of not too busy that it's crazy and not too deserted that the guards have nothing better to do than harass tourists. ;-)

Nice and interesting couple! Im just thowing this in the chat.. if anyone knows a Canadian company that allows their employees to work remotely, please let me know!
@AlmostRetiredinMexico24 күн бұрын
Best of luck finding a remote job. I guess you’re not allowed to work remotely for an American company?
@jijib769124 күн бұрын
@AlmostRetiredinMexico Thanks! Unfortunately no, and there are so many that allow their employees to work anywhere in the world. Canadian companies complicate everything...

@@jijib7691. I live in Canada and I met a Canadian who lives here but works for an American tech company. Might be worth looking into!
@AlmostRetiredinMexico22 күн бұрын
@@jijib7691 So interesting. I have one Canadian friend who works in the oil fields. She works for 2 weeks in Alberta, then flies back to Mexico for the next two weeks. She has company provided housing when she's working in the oil field and she doesn't rent / own her own place in Canada. It's cheaper to fly back and forth than rent up there. But that is a very specific situation that doesn't work for most people. I hope you're able to find what you're looking for!

@AlmostRetiredinMexico Yes, I know some people that work in the oil field too, but it's a very different lifestyle for sure! Thanks though! 🙂

Seriously? You comment this on every video, but you never answer my reply asking where in the US you've found to the cheap still.

Hey RexPonder! I don't know where you have lived in Mexico, but when I spend anywhere from 4-7 months at a time in Mexico, I tend to SAVE lots of money on expenses! So, where I live in the PNW of the USA it's a lot more expensive and more dangerous than most places I visit in Mexico.

@@dianaj3139 I think RexPonder is a Russian bot. He always posts the same thing and never replies to comments. Maybe he's in the US in Kentucky or some really cheap state that doesn't have reliable Internet.
