Keep your car sis. You will have the best of both worlds being so close to public trans & having the option of moving on your own time being able to drive your car. There's parking everywhere in NYC people tend to overlook that.

It would be nice to get another perspective besides this one. Post grad depression is a thing because for many it doesn't go this way. You have to move back with parents. You don't have money, you're looking for jobs or applying for grad school. This is a blessing for Jayla to be able to move to a luxury apt in ny right out of college but it really hard after graduating from college.

It was a thought so I left it. I suggest her giving a disclaimer maybe to let young girls know that though she working as a you-tuber and making money to afford her lifestyle and the ability to graduate and move to a luxury apt, it may not happen that way for most so be sure to keep pushing, grinding and know that if you work hard it will come,maybe not when you want it but right on time. I see young girls commenting all the time like, ooo because of you I want to go to college! That is great, I just don't want them to go and have a rude awakening. I was a firs generation college student and obtained my bachelors in biology and graduated with honors and research experience and I thought the world would open up for me. It didn't and it was a hard transition and the same when I got a cert as a phlebotomist and when I got my masters, it was hard. It would be nice to have known that prior to doing all this education. Thats all...

Love your dad, he reminds me of my husband. When my daughter moved last year her dad furnished her entire apartment. Everything came from Living Spaces, except the refrigerator, Home depot. He is a decorator always decorated all our apt's from newlywed till we bought our home 15years ago. He's just the best. Good luck to you. I know you're parent's are so proud of you.

U apt is very nice. You have moisture in the bathroom babez. U must get the command stripes for bathrooms and kitchens they will not fall off the wall. They are made for that. I have that same knife set and love it sooooo much. I love hpw it takes up less space and slim.

Please take time to discover all the boroughs of NYC. Newcomers get to NYC and think the whole world is Manhattan and they miss out on all the festivals, concerts, unique restaurants, parties, markets, culture etc. I'm born and raised in Brooklyn, I go everywhere but honestly the coolest places are in Brooklyn nobody cares to look into. Everywhere has a "good side" and "bad side" you just gotta research, get out there and find out for yourself which parts you like. If you wanna stay close atleast venture into Harlem, it's historical and so much great things there. You live here now and it's your time to be open and explore.

Welcome to NYC!!! and yes...keep your car. I know parking is a B*tch but there will be days you may wish you have it. I do Public Transportation during the week but often go on long trips outside of the city and my car is very much a convenience then.
