Springfield is an absolute crap hole of a city. i have now lived here for 1.5 years. Nixa , Ozark, and Branson are nice places to live. the level of drug use/meth addiction will boggle your mind.

I live outside of Philly and I'm considering moving to kimberling mo or Lee's summit / independence areas. Could you give me your thoughts and advice on those areas of the state . Also what of those areas would have the best job opportunities.

It greatly depends on what your goals are but I love all 3 areas. Kimberling City is for sure a lake town, which I spend a lot of time in myself. I used to live right next to Lee's Summit and love that area also!

I may be mistaken but i think Springfield is now the largest Spfd in the USA. Formerly it was the springtown in Massachusetts. However where Springfield MA is loosing population at a rate of around -1.45% annually, Springfield MO is gaining population at an annual rate of approximately +2.25%

Hey Luke. The U.S. Census Bureau lists the metro area of Spfd Mo as 486,000. The true number would be important to some. Check it out.
