Great video, Suman! It's pretty clear that given an opportunity many doctor would move out of India, and it's not just because of low wages in India but a better quality of life. The quality of life specifically in Australia is very good and the income levels are also high. Many MChs/DMs who are earning enormous sums in the private sector are also moving abroad - UK Australia are the most preferred options. Also, i've seen many Indian doctors (primarily surgeons) in Australia never get equivalency and countinue to work as fellows/trainees forever because they don't want to go back to India. They dont get specialist equivalency because the size of the surgical pie is the same and it will have to be shared with an IMG. Indian MChs in Australia face brutality, it's almost impossible to get equivalency. Medicine and lab have fairly descent chance of equivalency to move in as overseas trained specialist, for surgeons it's a suffering. Radiologist from either India or UK (GMC CCT), even if they get specialist recognition, have to compulsorily serve for 10 years in a remote area!
