@SumanPaulDoc Жыл бұрын
1. Your job description will be ST3 based on your previous experience, but you are not in a training programme so not in SS. Of course, you can get into non-training posts in urology after MRCS. 2. You don't need FY2 after PLAB. Most doctors will work in some SHO posts, get their CREST form signed, and then apply for Core surgical training. This will save you more time compared to MS and more options to actually enter training rather than spending years waiting to get into training.

If that’s so , what are the scopes for a MS passout and how one can improve his CV being MS passout from india? also , i have heard from my peers , in general all the surgical branches are extremely difficult to get into in UK because of competition from UK graduates and recruitment bodies favouring UK passout above IMGs….is there any truth to this?
@SumanPaulDoc Жыл бұрын
I don't think there is much scope for career progression in surgical fields in the UK now. It's extremely competitive to enter training so chances are slim as an IMG. Only reasonable option is to work in a non training job, learn some advanced skills and return back to India

Sir, you mentioned after CT1 and CT2 we interview for ST3 and that training goes for about 4-5 years. What about someone who has already completed MCh training in India? Do they also have to go through all these Speciality training years again after taking MRCS or start again as an SHO? Or can they work as a consultant directly? Please kindly clarify. What would be the status/designation for someone who goes to UK after completing both MS and MCh in India?

You will get MRCS after clearing both parts of the exam, no need for ST training. It's recognised in the Middle east and add some value to your CV.
