Damn, I miss Dollywood! For 20 years, I lived in Johnson City TN. Although I at first acted rather snooty about "that imitation Disneyland" or "aspiring Six Flags," I dropped THAT attitude within about half an hour of my first visit -- and as soon as I could afford it, I bought a season pass to Dollywood. Hitting the various gospel stages [and the falconry demonstration] left me enchanted. . . the Kingdom Heirs were one of the first groups I heard, and they soon became a favorite. Got to love the way they bust that last chord!

Eric was actually with the group for 10 or 11 years. He replaced Bob Caldwell.

Who's the tenor? He's really good and can go really high for his height!
@Nyck4615 жыл бұрын
Tenor is David Sulton. He now is with Triumph Quartet
@ronaldshank75892 жыл бұрын
@@Nyck461 Actually, it's David Sutton, not Sulton. Other than that, yep, you're right. What came as a shock to The Kingdom Heirs was, that in 2002, the Tenor, David Sutton, the Bass Singer, Eric Bennett, and the Pianist, Jeff Stice (Who unfortunately passed away last year), suddenly left The Kingdom Heirs, found Clayton Inman, which sings Lead, and Clayton Inman's son, Scott, which sings Baritone, and formed what was, at first, called Integrity Quartet. In 2005, though, they changed their name to Triumphant Quartet. The only one that left the group was Jeff Stice. The other Gentlemen are still in the group, and doing great!

I remember watching this as a kid. What was the name of this concert? We had the video tape for it, and I'm wondering if it was on sale, I'd be interested in buying one :)

Actually...yeah. I thought it was 2002, when Eric Bennett, David Sutton, and Jeff Stice left the Kingdom Heirs. Needless to say, Steve French wasn't happy about those three leaving...at the same time! He had to scramble, to find new replacements to come in, but that's when Jody Hosterman came in at Tenor, Adam Harmon came in at Piano, and Jeff Chapman (Easily one of the absolute BEST, and LOWEST, Bass Singers!!!), came in at the Bass Singing slot. He's easily one of my top three Bass Singers of all time. My two other favorites are Ken Turner, and Tim Riley.
