yes! especially because it looks like it's a more appropriate height for a TV. The other one looks more like a dresser height so the TV will be too high when youre viewing from the couch!

As a retired Air Force wife with lots of moves in her past, your decision to put boxes in the garage is a great idea. When we were finally able to do that it made life so much less stressful. We brought them in one at a time to unpack and put away! Praying for you as you adjust to your new home! Max too!!!

I feel the same way about clothes and other soft things. We just keep everything on hangers, put then in bin bags/ trash bags and they're the first thing that gets put away. I've moved more than a dozen times so we've got packing and unpacking to a fine art!

Against the wall in the kitchen, you can do a DIY bench with storage underneath. So you can purposely push the table closer to it but still have that storage option!

I used a baby “pack n play” to safely Rangel my pup. I put his bed, blanket, a couple of toys in there with him and fed him as normal in the pack n play. It worked great! I did this post op too!

So exciting...now the getting settled begins...don't try to do everything at once. Beds up ,curtains where needed, kitchen very important and bathroom stuff in place...then slowly un pack the rest. Is the way to go...I've done it many times.😊

I have a space heater for my room from Target. It’s called the Honeywell dual position heater. It’s not super cute but it’s REALLY small, you could put it anywhere. And it works really well! Sometimes it even gets to warm and I have to turn it down. Idk it might be a good and cheaper solution for your room.

When we moved to this house, we couldn't get an internet installation appointment until 2 weeks after our move in, so even though we wanted to move ASAP, we waited. I have 5 kids, so for all of us having no internet or tv would be hell. We finally got it and excitedly moved in, and the next day men were working on the road, having to dig into our yard in redoing the street....and accidentally cut all our cable/internet wires. Yes, I cried.

Hi friend!! I have one of those fake fireplaces in my bedroom and living room. I LOVE them! I live in Seattle Washington and they both get me through fall and winter perfectly! I basically run them all day and night on the weekends. And then just at night during the weekdays. My electric bill has gone up by probably $50-70 more dollars I will say. And my house is almost 1,300 sq ft. All in all- I think you should get one. They are functional, safe and super cute! Hope that helps! ☺️☺️☺️❤️❤️❤️ Congrats on the new house!!

Upside down light switches mean they are connected to a light switch! It’s definitely intentional. Also if you don’t know about going full fake fireplace, try out a small space heater for just the bedroom. They pack a punch! Also if you have the room, put the storage console that was used for kitchen storage on the wall with your front door under the window. It would look super nice! Or switch it with your current tv console as that one looks more dresser height than console height

I only have one AC unit in my dining room and I just put a fan to direct it where I need it to go and it works fine for the bedroom. Small space. My parents have one in the bedroom which then they direct to the living room dining room and kitchen and it works great with just the fan.

I have an electric fireplace and I would HIGHLY recommend it! Mine emits heat but the glass and the part that looks like a fire doesnt get hot so I never worry about my dog touching it and getting hurt! I would recommend saving a search for “electric fireplace” on Facebook market place and OfferUp, and just see what’s out there! I love how unique some of the second hand ones can be and so much more affordable. It took me a few weeks to find one I loved, so definitely recommend saving that search so it notifies you when there’s new ones!

Another person I follow on Instagram shared the ECHOINE leggings on Amazon. She related them to Lululemon leggings (buttery soft) but only a quarter of the price. I have 3 pairs so far and absolutely love them!! They also have a lot of stretch. I know you don’t plan on having kids anytime soon, but I’m almost 5 months pregnant and they still fit nicely.

When we moved into our house this summer, my dog was absolutely losing his mind as we packed... like he kept trying to sneak into the moving truck or jump in our cars while we were packing, and when we went back inside, he’d look super sad. He was a shelter dog, so we thought maybe he was nervous that we were going to leave him at the house. But he was genuinely so happy when we finally got in the car to leave and he laid down on his bed in the backseat and just heavy sighed lol
